Benimaru Shinmon is one of the toughest guys in Fire Force and has rightfully earned the title of "Asakusa’s King of Destruction." He’s got such incredible strength that even the top commanders from the Evangelists hesitate before they decide to go against him.
He was formerly the Captain of Special Fire Force Company 7. He also has several unique skills and abilities that make him stand out among all of the other pyrokinetics in the series.
In Fire Force, Benimaru is special because of the way he can control and create fire as a pyrokinetic. Not only is he the only character who can do this, but he is also incredibly clever when it comes to using martial arts to get the most out of his abilities.
The Hybrid Pyrokinetic Phenomenon

Benimarus is classified as a Second and Third Generation pyrokinetic Hybrid, which means he has extreme combat capabilities. His Second Generation abilities allow him to control and redirect any outside heat. Whereas his Third Generation ability allows him to generate almost limitless amounts of flame with his Ignition Ability.
Because he has both properties, his skill is so lethal in battle. He can blast long-range fireballs while redirecting pyrokinetic fire with ease.
During Captain Ōbi's rescue, Benimaru saved him with this two-part skill as he made a barrier 4 meters wide around him to prevent any manipulation of fire and heat. As a result, both Haumea and Inca were completely nullified.
Signature Techniques and Combat Style

Benimaru's most powerful attack is called the Moonlight technique. He blasts a crimson-colored projectile that resembles a blood-red moon. It can destroy any opponent on contact.
Benimaru uses his Iai Shutō fighting style with this attack by creating flames from his hands, which then take on the shape of sharp blades, thus combining the elements of martial art and pyrokinetic warfare.
Crimson Moon’s Sun Wheel is Benimaru’s ultimate attack in Fire Force. Benimaru created the technique by combining the techniques of Hibachi (Benimaru’s adopted father), Sun Wheel, and Konro’s Crimson Moon. When he used this power against Hibachi's doppelganger, it completely obliterated the demon, showing a second moon smiling in Asakusa’s night sky.
Physical Combat Mastery of Benimaru in Fire Force

Not only can Benimaru create fire with his mind, but he also excels at fighting. He is trained to use the iaido style of martial arts, which makes him just as dangerous without using flames. He was able to defeat Maki Oze, who is an excellent close-quarters fighter, showing the difference in skill between the two.
Benimaru’s strength is pretty much ridiculous. When he was a kid, he could keep up with his sensei Hibachi’s (one of the strongest people in existence) physical strength and could hold back full-grown men without any help.
After Benimaru permanently unlocked Hysterical Strength, he absolutely destroyed Arthur and Shinra straight through their 5-hour (back-to-back) training run.
Planetary-Scale Power
Benimaru's most badass display of might was when he tangled with his evil doppelganger, who made a giant, planet-sized solar disc. Even after that, Benimaru beat the snot out of his evil self just by touching it, showing us all he was way stronger than the apocalyptic version of him.
Benimaru's ability to easily defeat an enemy that poses a planetary threat shows that he is ranked at the top when it comes to power level. This also demonstrates the incredible strength Benimaru is capable of through his maximum effort. No matter what, it seems like Benimaru always has additional strength when pushed to the limit.
Conclusion
Benimaru Shinmon has some mind-blowing talent in Fire Force, and he pretty much destroys everything that he can. He wields the Sun Wheel, and he can control flames like a boss wherever he goes. He earned the title of the “Strongest Special Fire Force Officer” strictly through combat talent alone.
Benimaru Shinmon is a force to be reckoned with, whether he fights Demon Infernals, White-Clad Commanders, or even his own doppelgangers.
