What Happened in Wind Breaker Chapter 210?

Chapter 210 ("Fleeting Blossoms and Scattering Leaves") begins with Nirei seeing Suo after being out of communication for three days. Nirei runs to Suo right away since Suo's address had been bogus, no messages had been read, and no one at Furin knew where he was.

Suo tells Nirei matter-of-factly that he is here to say goodbye. He is leaving Furin and dropping out of school. He asks Nirei to tell everyone about it, including Sakura (whom he does not attempt to contact). Suo says he regrets the promise to help one another leave a legacy at Furin, but he is also ready to train by himself.

When Nirei refuses to let Suo leave and questions him, Suo interrupts him with a definitive statement: "We are not anything." He continues by telling Nirei how annoying he finds his constant questioning and invokes the phrase about curiosity killing the cat. He smiles during all of this.

Nirei loses it and throws a punch at Suo. Suo easily dodges it, but afterwards says quietly that Nirei has become stronger. For just a moment, Suo's mask slips off, and you see his true self. The chapter ends with the two of them standing under streetlights, Suo asking if Nirei is willing to do anything to find out the truth from him.
