What Can You Expect From Blue Lock Chapter 342?

"Reunion" is the official title for Blue Lock chapter 342 and likely relates to a significant moment tied to Shidou. With the ball at his feet and his egoism (fully charged) at the end of the last chapter, there is little doubt we will see Shido in the spotlight. The most likely connection to this title is associated with his training before the match, and it might be a reunion with a skill, instinct, or person associated with that part of his training.
Blue Lock Chapter 342 will likely go back to Isagi after Chapter 341, with Barou calling him out for having a real flaw in his game. He has his Meta Vision on, but nothing to show for it. The difference between what Isagi is giving the team right now and what the team needs from him is now at its maximum level of visibility.
Hugo's response to Karasu's move in Chapter 341 suggests that France has already been aware of it, and would therefore have an advantage if Hugo adjusts to it. Depending on the speed of that adjustment, Japan's newly formed second-half could be subject to pressure much earlier than planned.
Blue Lock Chapter 342 may provide a clearer indication of whether or not the Karasu-led change will withstand France's counter.
What Happened in Blue Lock Chapter 341?

The beginning of Chapter 341, called "Choice for the Future," started with a flashback of Ego's pre-match instructions for Kunigami. His training in the off-season was focused on developing him as a defensive player through his physical endurance and MMA-style distance control, not as a forward.
However, he was added to the game in the second half to take some of the pressure off of Shido and Barou so they could remain in an offensive formation, while Kunigami's role was to stop counterattacks. When Japan spent considerable time attacking, Barou ventured beside Isagi and directly told Isagi that he did not sense any of Isagi's goal-scoring instincts.
Barou depended on Isagi's movement patterns to provide him with shooting angles in the second half of the match, so, since Isagi had not been sharp enough to help Barou with that, Barou considered Isagi not to be a factor anymore in the current match. Then Barou ascended past Isagi and declared a change of target; with that, Isagi was left stunned and conscious of a void in his field of vision.
Karasu had a long internal struggle balancing wanting to be a striker with his natural qualities as a midfielder. For a long time, he watched Isagi take the center stage while he remained in the background. But after hearing Hugo’s take on the power of a great number two, it was now clear to him how to put to rest the tension he felt. He activated his Meta Vision and asked Reo for the ball with total commitment and declared that a Blue Lock that revolved around Isagi was effectively over.
Karasu drove at two defenders in France to draw their attention before releasing an excellent vertical pass that reached Shidou, who trapped it without breaking stride, smirked, and signaled he was ready to fully release his egoistic side. The chapter ended with a comment indicating this was the final moment Shido had been waiting for to release himself and that there would be no break before the next part of the series.
