Recently, Clevatess Season 2 Episode 8 has been released, and the story continues with the follow-up of the events happening around Ray, Klen, and Vordin. In the previous installment, we saw how Ray was connected to Shiro, in addition to the reveal of the painful history behind Klen's human appearance. At the same time, we see how the narrative has also shown viewers how dangerous the events are going to be from now on, as Vordin has taken the mysterious book.

While this season is building towards its climax, the upcoming installment might have to reveal more about the unresolved plotlines. One of the biggest highlights of Clevatess Season 2 Episode 8 is Ray's confrontation with Klen. It was interesting to see Ray enter this battle with full determination and confidence, just like a classic shonen protagonist, but it became extremely clear what the difference was between the power levels.

Even when Ray pushed him beyond his limits to try to go par with Klen, it turned out that Klen was just too overwhelmingly powerful. The fact that Ray in Clevatess Season 2 Episode 8 is suffering and is physically strained, his determination is unmoved, and that makes it more impressive.

This fight is more important than just a display of brute strength, as it has emotional weight behind it. Ray sees Shiro's face in Klen, which forces him to also face the memory of his fallen friend. At the same time, he had to continue fighting against someone who was responsible for Shiro's death in the first place.

Shiro’s story gives Ray’s battle more meaning

Clevatess Season 2 Episode 8 shows us the story of Shiro. It is the person whose appearance Klen adopted. Shiro was not just another hero who challenged Clevatess once and lost. He was actually someone who cared for others, and that left an impression on Klen. But for Ray, Shiro was a close friend, and they shared the dream of becoming a hero.

That is why the reaction that Ray has towards Klen is understandable. But the irony in the current situation is that Klen's situation with Shiro is more complicated. During the final moments of Shiro, his actions actually influenced Klen to change the course of his life.

If there is one thing the latest events have made clear, it is just how enormous the gap between Klen and the humans remains. Fans have already pointed out that even Alicia's ability to leave a permanent mark on Clevatess was an extraordinary achievement, and Klen's performance against Ray reinforces that idea.

Ray in Clevatess Season 2 Episode 8 may have tremendous magical potential, but raw determination cannot completely erase the difference between a talented human and a Lord of Dark Beasts.

Vordin changes the situation

The other major development heading into Clevatess Season 2 Episode 8 is Vordin's sudden intervention. After Klen seemingly allows the situation to develop, Vordin appears and takes the book with surprising ease.

Whether the book is the real one or another trick remains an intriguing question, but its disappearance raises the stakes considerably. Vordin clearly has his own plans, and Klen may have underestimated how quickly his opponent could act.

Final thoughts

In the end, the biggest question that fans have now is whether Ray can survive his confrontation with Klen and whether Klen can recover the book before Vordin's plans move forward. With Clevatess Season 2 approaching its final stretch, the stakes are higher than ever.
