Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 Episode 2 marks the next step in Senku's most ambitious mission yet in the quest for the moon and the battle against Why-man. The first instalment of this Series had a great beginning, setting the stakes and splitting the crew into 3 teams, and ending with a very freaky transmission from Why-man.

Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 Episode 2 is set to release on Thursday, April 9, 2026. It follows the weekly Thursday simulcast schedule that has been consistent across all three parts of Science Future. Here is everything you need to know before tuning in.

In Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 Episode 2, it is likely to be based upon the 3-team format that was established for Episode 1, with Senku’s team separated into super alloy production, corn supply, and his “world tour” experience of picking up unique materials before returning to Ishigami.

There is still a significant connection going into Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 Episode 2, which is Why-Man sending out a new transmission that has changed from just repeating Why to displaying a much more direct and threatening manner. The Science Kingdom now realises that the countdown is underway; therefore, they will not be able to relax any further than they already have!

A new character, Sai, is also joining the crew. He is considered the greatest mathematician in the history of mankind. His introduction is likely to be similar to how Senku's team progresses toward more of a global resource search. Expect Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 3 Episode 2 to present a balance between scientific advancement and increasing pressure from the Why-Man's threat.

In Episode 1, Dr. Xeno is completely integrated into the Science Kingdom. He created the first rocket engine from a very rare super alloy that he sourced from below ground zero using a Geiger counter he built himself.

Dr. Xeno embraced the title "dark scientist" as someone who would undertake scientific endeavour, those who would not. The contrast between Dr. Xeno and Senku was made clear; Dr. Xeno was a dark scientist, while Senku was a light scientist. They achieved building a jet engine together, although Dr. Xeno indicated this was only Level 1 of the 99 levels they would have to make a rocket that would make it possible to travel to the Moon.

The new ship can now travel across the Pacific Ocean in around a week, thanks to the new engine; when the old ship's iron was reused, Kaseki was emotional about his past craftsmanship, but then rediscovered his passion when he saw the value of the new ship.

The standout scene from this episode was Chrome; he shed tears of joy when he saw a super alloy made from ordinary rocks that could withstand heat, impact, and corrosion — Chrome knew then that the ordinary rocks he once collected were now the foundation for creating spaceships.

The last part of the episode was probably the spookiest part of the episode. Ukyo was teaching the crew how to use Morse code when Chrome (who was now able to read and write but still couldn't speak very well) noticed that Why-man's signal had changed from simply saying Why to asking the question "Do you wanna die?"
