What Happened in Farming Life in Another World Season 2 Episode 9?

Episode 9, titled "Return to Ordinary," kicked things off with a chilling revelation. An ancient evil monster, once imprisoned by the gods after a fierce battle, had been on the verge of breaking free. It had secretly been weakening its own seal for years, using eight mysterious stones as vessels for its dark energy. The plan was to shatter those stones and reclaim its power.

Hiraku was not aware he had sabotaged the whole scheme. Hiraku drew religious figures on rocks, and those drawings restored and strengthened the divine seal; the divine seal completely drained the monster, and as a result the monster was reborn as a small cat. The first being the new born cat met was Hiraku, and by showing kindness to it, he completely caused the monster to forget its revenge and seek to live peacefully. The gods were grateful to Hiraku and blessed him with gifts.

Meanwhile, everyone in the village was having a good time as they were welcoming home the weary expedition team. Hiraku went down the line thanking each member of the team. Many guests were present: Dryme and several older relatives of the villagers, and the bull dragon visiting the girl he had proposed to. An honorable mention was the minister from the red coat visitor, after spilling a little of his drink on Dryme and being sorry for it.

The episode's second half focused on comedy, with Urza trying to make a clay golem that kept falling apart every time she tried to build it. Eventually, Hakuren gave Urza a dragon scale, ground into powder and added to the clay, and from that, she created a little clay golem to relate to Hakuren. The Mountain Elves, meanwhile, were busy doing all kinds of things, such as creating a catapult by accident and turning a horse-drawn wagon into something that looks like a truck, while experimenting with spring mechanisms. Hiraku was patient with the [Mountain] Elves as they learned to build a pressure cooker, which will be a funny topic in future episodes.
