Due to health issues, Kaito Ishikawa, the voice actor for some of the most beloved anime characters, has formally announced that he will not be making any more appearances for the time being. On February 21, 2026, Kaito's talent agency, Stay Luck, confirmed that he will not be attending the 22nd Shonan Fujisawa Film Commission Forum as planned. The statement was courteous and short. Stay Luck expressed regret for any trouble caused, but they simply mentioned that his illness was the result of "poor health."
This revelation is particularly worrisome for One-Punch Man fans. Genos, the cyborg hero who has been a huge face of the series since 2015, is voiced by Kaito Ishikawa.
