The voice cast for Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky includes Miyu Irino (Kiritsugu Emiya from Fate/Zero) and Saori Hayami (Yukino Yukinoshita from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU), who previously voiced the characters in a promotional movie. Irino plays Kakeru, and Hayami voices Koharu. They are joined by Konomi Kohara (Chika Fujiwara from Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Yuko Hayase and Yohei Azakami (Tetcho Suehiro from Bungou Stray Dogs) as Ushio Narumi.

Irino claims that in order to preserve the feelings that viewers feel while watching, he painstakingly crafted the story of how this encounter changes both characters in Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky. The cast is having fun while dubbing, according to Hayami, and she hopes the viewers will take their time and appreciate the story.

Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky is being produced by Studio MAKARIA, the same company that made Zatsu Tabi: That's Journey. Yuko Kakihara (Orange) is the series composer, while Jou Yoshizaki (Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits 2) is the director. The characters were created by Yoshihiro Sawada (The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows) and Yuzuki Ishii using raemz's original ideas.

The History of the Series

At the 15th GA Bunko Awards, the original light novel took home the top prize. It also ranked third in the This Light Novel is Amazing! 2024 new titles category. For a debut piece, that's really good.

Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky by Nanigashi Shima, illustrated by raemz, began to be published in August 2023 under the GA Bunko imprint of SB Creative. The English edition is now available to readers in additional nations due to a license from Yen Press.

In August 2024, Hat's manga version of the story started to be serialized on Square Enix's Manga Up! service. As if that weren't enough, MBS debuted a live-action drama version of Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky in December 2025.

Conclusion

This isn't your average romantic animation. The story examines how two people looking for light unexpectedly cross paths. Koharu's warmth and happiness contrast dramatically with Kakeru's introverted nature, resulting in a sincere and real exchange.

It may not air until July 2026, but it seems like it will be worth the wait. It is a cast glad to be playing the roles, and the people behind assembling this anime clearly love that original story.
