From Jujutsu Kaisen's Sukuna to Attack on Titan's Mikasa, Witch Hat Atelier casts famous voice actors as Knights Moralis

This week's airing of Witch Hat Atelier is generating buzz among fans as they follow the story across its seven episodes since the series launched on April 6, 2026. Now, the team behind the show has piqued fans' interests again with their recent casting announcement.

The four most famous voice actors in the industry have become official cast members of the Witch Hat Atelier as the Knights Moralis- a group of elite enforcers for the magical community and tasked with erasing memories from anyone found in use of illegal magic or who knows of hidden truths in the magical world.

The new actors added are Junichi Suwabe, Jun Kasama, Hiroki Yasumoto, and Yui Ishikawa, all of whom are highly recognizable to any serious anime fan.

Junichi Suwabe has joined the Witch Hat Atelier series as Easthies. Suwabe may be best known as the voice of Ryomen Sukuna in the anime series Jujutsu Kaisen; Sukuna has been considered one of the most sinister villains in modern anime history. Some notable roles that he has done include: Victor Nikiforov from Yuri!!! on Ice, Yami Sukehiro from Black Clover, and Archer from Fate/Stay Night.

A prominent change is Yui Ishikawa, who now voices Luluci in Witch Hat Atelier. You might remember Yui's previous roles, including Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan and Violet in Violet Evergarden; in fact, her performance in Violet Evergarden earned her the "Best Actress in a Leading Role" award at the 15th Annual Seiyū Awards in 2021.

Hiroki Yasumoto is cast as Galga in Witch Hat Atelier. Among many roles over the years, Yasumoto has voiced Yasutora Sado in Bleach, Agil in Sword Art Online, Elfman Strauss in Fairy Tail, and Germany in Hetalia: Axis Powers, and possesses a deep voice well-suited for large or imposing characters. He also voiced Pod 042 in NieR: Automata, alongside Yui Ishikawa.

Rounding out the quartet is Jun Kasama, who voices Utowin. Together, the four voice actors form a formidable ensemble that signals just how seriously the production team is treating this arc of the story. All four characters are set to appear starting with the seventh and eighth episodes, airing on May 18 and May 25, respectively.

A Production Built for Greatness

Witch Hat Atelier, a top-notch show made by a respected cast and a great crew, is directed by Ayumu Watanabe (Summer Time Rendering, Children of the Sea), with series composition by Hiroshi Seko (Jujutsu Kaisen).

And the connection shows: Seko's writing brings him and Suwabe (the voice of Sukuna) together again in the same magical realm, but with a different kind of magic (also called magic). Kairi Unabara is the character designer, while Yuka Kitamura (the composer behind the Elden Ring soundtrack) will create the music.

The story of Witch Hat Atelier has always been one that shows how amazing magic is, but it also shows how much you have to give up to learn its secrets. Now that some of the biggest names in the whole Anime industry are coming on board to help tell that story, that wonder will be told in an even more exciting way.

Regardless of whether you know these voice performers from their time as curse bearers, titans, or androids, you can count on the transformation of the Knights Moralis at the hands of these amazing voice actors. Episodes 7 and 8 cannot come soon enough.
