JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run was one of the most buzzed-up anime to hit the tube in 2026, and while a two-episode premiere left plenty of viewers satisfied, there was one thing that remained unsaid: When will the rest of it air?
Netflix Anime finally spoke up after a month of being quiet since the show premiered on Netflix. They posted on X confirming that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run is still being made. There will be 2 courses split for the series run, so the complete run of episodes is covered.
After months of waiting, many were starting to speculate if Netflix was planning another batch dump style for the next season.
Weekly Episodes Confirmed for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Stage 2

Netflix made one thing clear. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run Stage 2 will not follow the dreaded batch model. One episode will be released each week once the second cour begins in the fall.
This is a huge deviation from the way the service handled Stone Ocean, with huge batches dropping on the same days and large gaps between them, a format that has been openly criticized for killing off the weekly discussions around the episodes being aired.
The Statement and What It Actually Says

Netflix's post acknowledged the support surrounding Steel Ball Run and expressed gratitude toward the dedicated community that rallied around the premiere. However, Netflix also stated that they split the cour because they were "not under any pressure" to do so.
In the company’s statement, they noted that the current production committee schedule "was the production committee's decision." Thus, the only issue about this decision was "the amount of time between the premiere of Steel Ball Run and the initial announcement of the series."
A Five-Month Wait Ahead

Even though it's great to hear about the project coming along, it's still gonna be quite some time away before we get to see Stage 2 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run. The wait won't end until at least fall 2026: Five months later than the first premiere of 2 episodes.
The first two episodes covered just the first part of the race, so you get introduced to Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli in epic ways, and David Production killed it with how they made the first part of this story look visually epic, just like it needs to be.
