A new Lego One Piece trailer was released, changing the traditional order of events. Netflix has designed the trailer so that the story of Lego One Piece sounds much more amusing than the story of the original show. The new trailer clearly shows that the series doesn't care about staying true to reality.

From the trailer, we find out that Usopp is the narrator, showing how he himself has contributed to every victory. The Lego One Piece mocks Usopp's boasting by allowing his character to brag about his exploits. In the preview, Chopper listens to Usopp's story with interest, while Zoro appears not to believe him.

The trailer shows Usopp in the middle of telling his story to Chopper about how he helped the crew win some of their greatest victories. He says he was responsible for tricking Arlong and defeating Alvida, even though the real event was different from his claimed one. This storytelling style makes it funny.

Zoro seems to have trouble believing Usopp’s stories, as shown in the trailer, because every time Usopp exaggerates his part, Zoro finds himself rolling his eyes. Such interaction between the two characters is present in the entire trailer, thus indicating that the brick version of the East Blue saga will have some fun.

Lego One Piece is revealed in two episodes that relay the events of the first two seasons of the live-action series. The plot focuses on the crew's earliest challenges, such as their battle against Arlong Pirates and Baroque Works assassins. The show finishes just before Chopper joins the Straw Hat Pirates during the events of Drum Island.

According to showrunner Tom Hyndman, Usopp's point of view is the correct introduction for one-time viewers. He aimed to present a version of all these events that would gradually introduce beginners to the story while still entertaining old fans.

Release Date And Companion Sets

The upcoming special is set to premiere on Netflix on September 29, 2026. The project has been produced by Atomic Cartoons, with Eiichiro Oda being an executive producer, joining forces with the LEGO Group team. This LEGO One Piece project has come to be the studio’s latest animated project following its previous projects on similar franchises.

Before the special release, a series of construction sets will become widely available on August 1. There will be various buildings from Dr. Hiriluk's Hideout to Garp’s Marine Battleship that will help the builders have real things to work on in line with the timing of the show’s trailer’s release.
