Instead of letting the kraken serve no purpose, Arc gets the leftovers and turns it into a profitable business. They open a stall and start selling grilled kraken skewers. Although this subplot feels unnecessary, it still brings a lot of joy, just like what happened with Chiyome, who was forced into selling them, too.

Sasuke's Bag and the Danka Mystery in Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 Episode 8

Ariane was left with bad news upon her search for Danka: he left the town earlier than anticipated. The episode wraps up with Sasuke in the spotlight, being seen with a bag containing something alive, but there are no explanations about it.

This ambiguity is the entire point. There is nothing presented in this episode that indicates whether Sasuke has betrayed the group or is simply caught in another story entirely, unrelated to Danka's case. That mysterious bag, combined with Ariane's findings set up the next part of the season as a puzzle that has yet to be solved.

The scenes featuring Chiyome and Sasuke flashbacks, the kraken battle, and the kiosk diversion are well-constructed, but when combined, these scenes make the episode slower and with fewer stakes than the previous episodes.

The association with the first season does not stop here, especially noting how the pacing and comedic timing in the earlier episodes differ drastically from this one. Despite this fact, Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 Episode 8 has enough elements about Sasuke and Danka to make the storyline continue.
