This episode starts with a tense strategy meeting between Maribel, Yuuki, and Johann of their party. They all agree that Rimuru’s alliances are growing and, as such, present a very legitimate threat to them. Shortly thereafter, they receive a message indicating that Glenda has possibly been captured by the Demon Lord's troops. Maribel panics and assumes Galindo has been killed, when he is still alive and has the ability to help her in this part of her master plan to defeat Rimuru.

Yuuki announces the next key piece of information regarding how his assistant will travel to an adventure in ruins called Amrita. Maribel immediately sees this as an opportunity for her group to take advantage of.

The Anti-Magic Reactor Threat

Glenda indicates that Granbell has five generals working for him, each with complete loyalty to him, and one of these generals has already been set against Rimuru. In addition, there is a group called Blood Shadow that has been performing the Rozzo family's illegitimate actions off the record (i.e., performing the most dangerous/morally grey activities for them).

Benimaru's reaction to all this is explosive — he wants to raze the entire operation to the ground on the spot. Rimuru keeps him in check, urging patience and a measured response.

The Journey to Amrita

Rimuru confirms the ruins mission and assigns Souei to watch the Rozzo family and the Five Elders. Gobuta goes with Rimuru to Amrita, which he hates. Shion comes along too, and Rimuru gives her a clothing item from Ingrassia, which looks great on her. This lighthearted moment breaks up the build of tension that is in this episode.
