The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 Episode 8 confirms the identity of the mystery soulmate, which was revealed at the end of the last chapter. Rather than meeting someone new, Rentaro comes across someone he already knows, and the relationship makes the episode one of the best ones in the season so far.

His new soulmate turns out to be Yaku, Kusuri’s 89-year-old grandmother, who looks like a child due to the use of an early version of the drug for immortality. Her arrival changes everything in the house and makes Rentaro experience the most embarrassing courtship in his life. The episode concludes with Yaku becoming part of the girlfriend group under a name no one can remember properly.

A Grandmother Enters the Picture in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 Episode 8

Yaku is introduced in an unexpected way in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 Episode 8, as Kusuri is happy to see her grandmother develop a connection with Rentaro. The medicine that Yaku took continues affecting her in a way that has robbed her of her youthful appearance, while her mind is that of an adult.

Kusuri begins persuading Yaku to expand her social circle, and Yaku seems happy and compliant with the idea. Kusuri's affection is surprising for Rentaro because no other woman behaved like that toward him.

In The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 Episode 8, Rentaro discovers that Yaku was a battlefield medic before and met her late husband years back. During flashbacks, Yaku explains how she carried supplies through dangerous territories to save her husband's life, although she chooses to conceal major details from Rentarou. For a comic show, flashbacks provide Yaku with surprising depth.

Afterwards, Yaku helps heal Rentaro's injured hand with the help of a plant remedy, and it appears to him for a moment that she is young. Yaku doesn't pay too much attention to his reaction and continues to hold back numerous secrets from her past.

Rentaro is aware of the age difference and its effects on his relationship. In his attempt to prove he is mature enough for Yaku, Rentaro tries to act like a grown-up kid, climbing over a swing and jumping down from there, convinced that this action will impress her just like her late husband. However, the plan fails, and Rentaro’s childishness is clearly visible.

Upset with himself, Rentaro proposes to Yaku to be his girlfriend and goes in for a kiss, only to stop before the action because of Yaku’s consent. However, that very hesitation works in favor of Rentaro since the kiss is initiated by Yaku a minute later.

Now that Rentaro and Yaku are in a relationship in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 Episode 8, Rentarou takes Yaku to meet his other girlfriends. Everyone is shocked to learn Yaku’s age, especially with the information given by Kusuri about their relationship to each other. Nevertheless, the girls accept her as they already learned from Hahari that she was going to join them.

Yaku hopes to get along with Rentaro’s other girlfriends by giving them some candy. The girls seem to feel relaxed after that. Additionally, the episode marks the first time Yaku actually gets to see whether she fits in the group where all the girls have grown accustomed to Rentaro’s unusual lifestyle.

Mixed-Up Introductions and a New Nickname

The latter part of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 Episode 8 features Kusuri introducing his various partners, which gets Yaku confused as she struggles to make a clear connection and wrongly mixes up their personalities to the point where it causes a little mayhem and upset reactions in some members of the group.

As a conclusion, it appears that it does not work in the other direction either. Their attempts to remember her actual name still fail, since mispronouncing her name makes for a funny drug-related joke. The characters choose to keep the name Yaku instead of using any other names at the end of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 Episode 8, with a pleasant vibe.
