Shiki finds out that according to the Brigade's motto, civilians are also allowed to die. Therefore, he goes to Yaoroshi in the company of Mudano and other schoolmates. He goes to Nikko, where the waterfall is known to have stopped flowing a long time ago because of the construction of the research facility where experiments are conducted.
