Next week, Wind Breaker Chapter 201 will drop following the monumental, emotionally charged Chapter 200, where readers got to go through the grieving process alongside Momijikawa. Chapter 200 was also a complete departure from the typical combat-heavy approach of the series due to Nii Satoru's decision to only concentrate on the loss and healing

Wind Breaker Chapter 201 will officially debut on Monday, December 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET. Like most of the Kodansha chapters, Chapter 201 will follow the Kodansha weekly release pattern, being released exactly one week after Chapter 200 ended so sadly. Because of the way time zones work, Japanese readers will get Chapter 201 before North America.

Readers can access Wind Breaker Chapter 201 through two primary official platforms. For North American readers, K Manga will be the official English-language reading platform for Wind Breaker. Magapoke, a Japanese reading platform called Magazine Pocket, will provide the Japanese edition of Wind Breaker Chapter 201 for readers in Japan.

K Manga and Magapoke will both continue releasing their respective editions of Wind Breaker as the series continues through the Kodansha digital magazine serials.

What Can You Expect From Wind Breaker Chapter 201?

The narrative stands at a crossroads following Momijikawa's grandmother's death. Wind Breaker Chapter 201 must address multiple character threads while maintaining the emotional resonance established in the funeral sequence.

The new chapter may contain post-funeral conversations at the funeral venue after the funeral ends, where Sakura and Momijikawa can have a proper conversation, as they have not done so since the initial conflict. Due to the similarities in their experiences, they will be able to form a bond based on their shared experiences of loneliness and abandonment.

Expect the grade captains to play supportive roles. Hiragi, Tsubaki, and the other upperclassmen demonstrated their solidarity by attending in formal attire. Their presence reinforced Furin High's philosophy of protecting not just the town but each other. There may also be follow-up scenes with the Grade Captains providing assistance to Momijikawa and checking in to see how he is doing emotionally.

What Happened in Wind Breaker Chapter 200?

Chapter 200 starts off with Momijikawa beside his run-down grandma's hospital bed. Her memory is toast (Dementia), and it just keeps getting worse. The further we go on, the less of him he remembers. For example, she keeps calling him by his grandfather's name instead of his own.

At the end of their last conversation, there was a brief spark when she called out "Sakae-chan," which is Momijikawa's real name. That gave both of them a glimmer of closure about what they needed desperately from the last few months of this horrible illness.

As he slipped out of his grandma's grasp, Momijikawa made promises to her. He told her some stories about going to school at Furin and how nice the people there were. He said that even though he had not gone much to school yet, he was fully committed to getting involved with the community he was going to be living in.

The narrative then jumped forward to the funeral ceremony. All of Bofurin attended in formal black attire, standing together as Momijikawa said final goodbyes. Hiragi's hair hung loose instead of being styled up. These visual details demonstrated respect for the solemn occasion.

Now, Wind Breaker Chapter 201 has a tall order of following such an emotional ride. No matter what path Nii Satoru chooses, he is now set up for continued character growth because of what has occurred between the first and the 200th chapter.

As for how many characters have also gone through a new experience or have made some progress along the way, this 200 marks a huge milestone for multiple characters.
