5 Reasons Katie is the Real Victim on B&B (and 5 Ways She Can Stand Up To the Pressure)

In the heat of Logan’s success and Forrester Creations’ doomed couture show on The Bold and the Beautiful, escalations are closing in on Katie’s regrets. Logan’s creative director, Hope, was kept a secret till the show, where she walked the runway wearing the HFTF diamond. As the show became a hit, Hope faced her mother, Brooke’s wrath while Forrester’s jewelry designer, Electra, walked out on Will over the latter keeping HFTF a business secret.

FC scrambled to open its couture line online but Eric spoiled the day by losing his temper about Katie’s Logan on camera. To add to the chaos, Will and R.J. had a scuffle at Bikini Bar where Will hit Eric by mistake. While this sealed the fate of his breakup with Electra, the Forresters’ wrath may be redirected towards Will’s mother, Katie, making her the punching bag of the Forrester family.

For years, B&B fans have witnessed Katie Logan (Heather Tom) being used to put out fires, but later left on the fringes. Whenever Forrester Creations needed good PR or was going through a rough patch, Katie was summoned. However, after solving the issues, she was rarely given any credit.

During last year's coup, she was tasked with handling the media. However, she was never made privy into the elaborate plan of planting Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) to break up coup creators, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). While Katie gauged it all, the Forrester management kept her out of their decisions. Moreover, during the Luna fiasco, she was sidelined and an external PR team was brought in without consulting her.

Eric Forrester (John McCook) has been a father figure for both the Forrester family and the Logans. From Katie, he has always demanded dedication and loyalty. However, whenever there is a friction between the two families, he has sided with his bloodline and left loyal Katie in the lurch.

Recently, when his son, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) forcibly retired him, Eric promised his support to Katie’s fledgling new fashion house. He designed for her as promised. However, when Ridge wanted him back, Eric backtracked on his promise and called Katie a thief for taking his designs.

Finally, when a desperate Hope met with her aunt, disappointed by her career at FC, Katie offered her the role of the creative director at Logan. Hope signed the contract and jumped ship secretly. However, when this was revealed, Brooke accused Katie of poaching Hope, who is an adult capable of making her own decisions.

While she struggled with health issues when young, Brooke marred her marriage by sleeping with Bill behind her sister's back. Both culprits expected Katie to forgive their betrayal. While Bill remarried Katie since she forgave all his past betrayals, Eric came to cry on her shoulder after being ousted from his own company. However, when things went back to normal, he did not hesitate to bash her in public.

Moreover, Eric offered her help but turned around and accused her of stealing the designs. The Forrester founder did not keep his blame game within family and friends. He also used the media to air his frustrations.

Katie must address this accusation first. Since Bill claimed that Eric was fully paid for the designs, Katie needs to produce receipts to the media to clear her name. If there is any evidence of the fact that Eric offered to help Katie with designs and he came to the Logan office, particularly if there was a contract, she must strive to expose Eric’s duplicity.
