In a scary twist on The Bold and the Beautiful, Sheila Carter caught her husband, Deacon Sharpe, being intimate with his secret lover-cum-psychiatrist, Taylor Hayes. In response, she confronted Taylor and dragged the truth out of the doctor, calling her actions unethical.
She, then, proceeded to have a heartfelt conversation with Deacon (Sean Kanan). While the latter accepted that he did not see the romance coming, he fell in love with Taylor (Rebecca Budig) after being disappointed with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) over her secrets. The soap’s fans saw Sheila begging him not to abandon her as others have done. However, her biological son, Finn (Tanner Novlan), strove to believe that she is not dangerous anymore.
5 arguments to favor Finn’s reunion with Sheila on The Bold and the Beautiful
1) Sheila is Finn’s birth mother

As longtime viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful know, Sheila’s connection with Finn was revealed during the doctor’s wedding ceremony. While that left everyone shocked and Li and Jack’s marriage ruined, Sheila tried to reconnect with her biological son.
Although torn between his biological mother’s reputation and his wife’s hysteria, Finn felt a pull to forgive his mother. This was evident when Sheila was presumably dead, followed by the revelation that she was held hostage. Finn even attended Sheila’s wedding with Deacon. There is no denying the fact that Finn exists due to Sheila.
2) Sheila saved Kelly from drowning

In the past, Sheila did a good turn to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn when she saved Kelly, Finn’s stepdaughter, from drowning. While she was stalking Finn at the time, she noticed the danger likely to befall Steffy’s little girl at the beach. After rescuing Kelly, Sheila improved her image in Finn’s eyes.
This episode helped Finn see his biological mother in a different light than the evil criminal that the rest of the world portrayed her as. He was willing to think of Sheila as a protector instead of a villain.
3) Sheila saved Steffy’s life

As The Bold and the Beautiful fans already know, the Luna fiasco escalated when Finn’s biological daughter decided to target Steffy. She tricked Steffy into coming to Hayes’ summer school, where an unaware Steffy arrived at the beach house. At the time, Sheila worked out Luna’s plan and rushed to warn Steffy.
Besides informing Taylor about the probable danger from Luna (Lisa Yamada), Sheila arrived at the beach house to stop Luna from harming Steffy. She had a scuffle with her granddaughter and took a bullet in her foot, trying to save Steffy’s life. Steffy acknowledged her actions and showed gratitude. As such, Finn has his mother to thank for Steffy being alive.
4) She spared Taylor despite betrayal

As Finn pointed out recently, Sheila did not react violently when she learned about Taylor and Deacon’s affair. While the whole town was worried that she would harm, and even kill, Taylor, Sheila just forced the psychiatrist to admit her actions.
As for her husband, Sheila pleaded with Deacon to stay in their marriage and not abandon her. While Taylor, Deacon, Steffy, Hope, and the rest played up Sheila’s move of barging into Taylor’s bedroom with a knife and later, using the pizza cutter to slice a pizza viciously, the transformed criminal did no physical harm to either of the betraying parties.
5) Finn understands her obsession with family

While Sheila gave up Finn as a baby for adoption, and Li raised him, Finn learnt more about his biological mother over the years. After Sheila was kidnapped by Sugar, Finn realized that his mother was not a monster but a victim of her own damaging past.
On one hand, Finn developed sympathy for his mother, while on the other, he also understands her need for a family and acceptance. Although Sheila has offered unconditional love and not judged Finn, he, in return, can provide her with inclusion in his family. That may stall her twisted ways and stop her destructive actions towards his family.
The Bold and the Beautiful: 5 ways Finn’s backing for Sheila may be wrongly placed
1) Finn and Sheila share a shaky past relationship

As mentioned before, Finn learnt about his biological mother at his wedding. Since Sheila’s criminal past preceded her reunion with her biological son, Finn had reservations about accepting her into his life. Moreover, Sheila’s disclosure destroyed Jack and Li’s stable marriage.
To add to Finn's woes, Sheila’s relationship with his wife, Steffy, her mother, Taylor, and the Forrester family was not good! As such, he landed in a dilemma of choosing between his biological mother and his wife, and Finn chose allegiance with the latter.
2) Finn and Steffy have a history of trauma

The early reunion between Finn and Sheila had many hiccups. While Sheila tried to force her way into her son’s life, Steffy pushed back hard against her biological mother-in-law with a criminal past. In response, Sheila tried to shoot Steffy dead. Finn took a bullet, trying to save his wife.
Sheila escaped going to prison and tried to reconnect with her son. After Sheila saved Steffy from Luna’s attacks, Finn desired to have a closer relationship with her. However, the past experiences and fear of her volatility keep him alert.
3) Sheila has shown a pattern of manipulation

Sheila, in the past, resorted to manipulation at various levels, from seduction to coercion and threats. After his marriage to Steffy, Finn learned that the Forrester family’s past issues with Sheila, including her marriage to Eric and her shooting Taylor. Later, Bill became Sheila's unlikely ally, but that was all a ruse.
4) Sheila’s unpredictable responses question her reform

Sheila has declared that she left her past behind and changed for the better. While Finn wants to believe that she changed, there are many past instances to prove him wrong. In the past, even after committing to a stable life, Sheila failed to respect boundaries. She entered homes unannounced, visited Hayes in a disguise, and hid Luna’s recovery from the gunshot.
Moreover, she provided intel about Will (Crew Morrow) to Luna, leading to the Spencer scion’s rape. However, she tried to downplay her involvement even when caught by Deacon. As such, her tendency to stray from the moral path contradicts her reform.
5) Finn’s personal and professional lives may be jeopardized

As a well-known doctor, Finn’s association with a former criminal may jeopardize his reputation. Moreover, as a former nurse, Sheila may know the ropes of the medical field and may challenge Finn’s position at the hospital if she intends.
At the same time, Sheila may not be a trustworthy addition to the lives of Kelly and Hayes. Also, her volatile temperament makes her unreliable around Finn’s children. To add to his doubts, Finn is unsure about Steffy’s protection if Sheila gets angry and attempts violence or revenge. As such, he may choose safety and peace over his desire for reunion with his mother.
