Ridge Forrester of The Bold and the Beautiful, played by Thorsten Kaye, is currently facing a dilemma involving his professional standing clashing with his personal life. On one hand, he and his daughter, Steffy Forrester, played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, are co-CEOs of the family business, and they also make a great team. On the other hand, his wife, Brooke Logan, played by Katherine Kelly Lang, has asked him to fire Steffy and make her the co-CEO.

While Brooke’s ambition was stoked by her daughter, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), Ridge may find it difficult to convince his father and company founder, Eric Forrester (John McCook), to ask Steffy to step down in favor of Brooke. Although Ridge may find himself in a bind, fans may wonder who deserves the chair more.

5 arguments favoring Brooke’s eligibility as the CEO on The Bold and the Beautiful

1) Proven legacy and corporate track record

Brooke Logan has had a long relationship with Forrester Creations. She built her career in the company and saw the rise of the family brand. She has been a model, a designer, a muse, and a business strategist at different points in time.

Moreover, she has also worked successfully as a CEO briefly. As such, she understands the brand and the business structure well. Expectedly, she can lead from the front while appreciating every aspect of the business.

2) The “BeLief” factor

Longtime viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful may remember the 1993 storyline, which catapulted Brooke’s position in the company due to her invention and its patent. Brooke had played a chemist to create an anti-wrinkle formula for the materials used by Forrester Creations, which the company used successfully. Eric named the formula "BeLieF" after its creator, Brooke Logan Forrester.

While that brought in an era of Brooke’s power over Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) and the rest of the Forrester company, it also proved her worth. She proved that she was much more than a chemist and innovator due to her technical contributions.

3) The institutional knowledge and stability

Brooke has not blindly followed orders in the past years of her association with FC. She put in her own knowledge of the market to bring profitable ideas to the table. She helped the company move from couture to other fashion lines such as men’s wear and bedroom designs.

At the same time, employees who find Ridge hot-tempered and difficult to work with find Brooke easier to communicate with. She can do the balancing act and provide the right stability that the management must retain.

4) Face of the company while mentoring the youngsters

As the “Muse” and original “Logan”, Brooke has been the face of the company for years. Besides the company’s iconic lines, Brooke has also been the “face” of FC in many boardroom meetings and negotiations. Her presence adds PR value and prestige to deals, making her a marketing magic.

As such, she can be an example for the next generation of upcoming management contenders in FC. Moreover, she can mentor the likes of Hope, RJ, Daphne, and Dylan into playing the real corporate moves.

5) Keeping power play in check

Recently, Steffy shelved Hope’s fashion line, Hope for the Future, indefinitely once again, in favor of high-end couture. This disappointed Hope, who had prototypes ready. As such, Hope believes that Steffy’s decision has a personal angle. This is the latest battle of the long-running power play between Steffy and Hope.

Besides Steffy and Hope, there may be control issues at various levels within the company. That may involve Thomas, Ivy, and RJ in the future. Having Brooke at the helm of management and decision-making can dissolve many of these issues.

The Bold and the Beautiful: 5 reasons Steffy is the perfect co-CEO

1) Rightful ownership with maximum share

Longtime fans may remember that the shares of Forrester Creations went through many hands and restructuring to end up where they are today. While taking the company back from Bill Spencer Jr. (Don Diamont), Steffy had the shares divided equally into four parts between her parents and her grandparents.

However, she ended up getting her mother’s shares. Later, Bill handed her his 12.5% of FC shares that he had bought from Donna (Jennifer Gareis). As such, now she owns 37.5% shares, the same as her grandfather. This makes her the rightful owner and co-CEO by share percentage.

2) Unapologetic business decisions

Over the years of heading the company, Steffy has shown her business acumen by keeping the interests of Forrester Creations above all else. She has stepped in many times to change business plans as per the market needs. She rarely lets feelings cloud her judgement. Moreover, she does not bow down to anyone’s pressure.

Some of the examples of her business moves include shelving HFTF for couture, joining the company under Carter’s control, and traveling to San Francisco to help Electra market her jewelry designs.

3) Focus on the couture strategy

The Bold and the Beautiful fans may remember Stephanie taking a stand against Brooke in favor of the company's couture collection. Stephanie believed that high-end couture is the signature collection for Forrester Creations and is also the most profitable line.

Steffy holds similar thoughts about her family business. Since both Eric and Ridge are the family’s lead designers and they design for couture, Steffy thinks this must get precedence over other lines. As such, she shelved HFTF and redirected funds towards high-end fashion.

4) Proven leadership for the family business and brand

For years, Steffy has handled and led the company as a CEO successfully. She has the staff under control and commands respect. She takes ruthless business decisions, keeping the company’s advantage in mind. Her ground-up experience, which includes working in the mailroom to public relations and ramp walk, gives her a stronger perspective regarding the demands of the market.

Being a Forrester, Steffy is conscious about the family business and its brand reputation. While her father and grandfather may seemingly bow down to the Logan family at times, Steffy stays true to the Forrester roots.

5) Great synergy with Ridge

Recently, the company’s COO, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), complimented Steffy for making a “dream team” with Ridge. While the father-daughter duo shares a similar vision for the company, they manage to keep things professional.

Compared to Ridge’s partnership with Brooke, which may be fraught with romantic and emotional coercions, his partnership with Steffy remains more straightforward. Moreover, Ridge trusts Steffy’s business decisions and rarely questions her. That makes for a better collaboration.
