In a curious turn of events, The Bold and the Beautiful's Sheila Carter recently paid a friendly visit to her former husband, Deacon Sharpe and learned that Taylor Hayes had turned down his marriage proposal. Since Deacon had divorced Sheila to marry Taylor, this was quite a disappointment for Deacon. While he accepted Taylor’s reasons for not wanting to marry, Sheila seemed perceptive of his feelings and could tell he was hurt. Before leaving Bikini Bar, she told Deacon she would always love him and Deacon noted that he had enjoyed talking with her. This mature friendship has the possibility of growing into a reunion in upcoming future.
5 Hints That Sheila and Deacon May Come Reunite
1) Taylor’s proposal rejection as a possible double standard

AsThe Bold and the Beautiful fans recently witnessed, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) proposed to Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig). However, the psychiatrist rejected the proposal pointing out that at their age, they did not need a marriage to stay committed. Since Deacon had divorced his wife, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), to marry Taylor, he was surprised by the rejection.
While Deacon tried to justify Taylor’s stance to Sheila, she was quick to point out that Taylor had married Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) multiple times. Sheila’s argument made sense, as Taylor had proposed to Ridge last year herself and planned an elaborate wedding before Ridge ditched her. As such, her refusal to marry leaves doubts in Deacon’s mind, planted by Sheila.
2) Shared empathy and parallel rejection

Sheila relayed her side of the story when she opened up to Deacon about her Monaco visit. She talked about her desperate need to connect to Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and the fiasco in her son’s life. She also expressed regret that Finn and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) would never accept her in their lives. She voiced her disappointment that the two people she loves, Deacon and Finn, are not part of her life.
She also stated her surprise at Taylor’s decision to not marry Deacon. She pointed out that since Deacon divorced her to be with Taylor, Sheila knew his disappointment. She empathized with him that they were sailing similar boats of rejection, she from Finn and he from Taylor.
3) Deacon and Sheila’s deep history together

Both Deacon and Sheila have been on the wrong side of the law in the past. They first got together when Deacon was rejected by Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Sheila was on the run. Later, when Deacon fell in love with Sheila, she was presumed dead after Steffy killed her doppelganger, Sugar.
After finding Sheila alive, Deacon married her and the two left their criminal pasts behind them to move into a more settled and crime-free life together. When Sheila visited Deacon at Bikini Bar, it reminded them of old times when they ran a restaurant together.
4) Unconditional loyalty and comforting presence

In their recent conversation, Sheila showed extreme compassion and understanding towards Deacon. After updating each other on their lives, Sheila was surprised that Taylor refused to marry Deacon. As a sign of friendly concern, she held his hands. Moreover, she told him that whenever he was hurt, she knew.
This presented the level of mature understanding between them. Also, she declared her love for him and her regret for having lost him to Taylor. In addition to these somber moments, Sheila also made Deacon laugh by sharing the joke about getting caught by Steffy due to her eight toes. Instead of hanging back and boring Deacon, she quickly left the restaurant after announcing that she enjoyed the meeting. Deacon also realized the same and complimented Sheila for being unique.
5) Sheila’s transformation and Deacon’s pattern

Sheila has certainly changed over the last few years, performing multiple selfless acts. Besides being Deacon’s loving wife and responsible co-owner of Il Giardino, she also took a bullet to save Steffy from Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) attack. However, Sheila was remorseful about keeping Luna’s survival a secret from her husband. The viewers saw her actively encouraging Deacon’s therapy sessions in order to hold her marriage together. Moreover, although devastated by Deacon’s betrayal, Sheila reacted with grace and set him free.
Deacon may remain grateful to Sheila for letting him go without much drama, but Deacon has a history of straying whenever there is a rough patch in his relationship. With problems looming in his relationship with Taylor, he may deflect again. This may make him return to Sheila Carter once more.
