B&B Recap August 14: Drunk Heartbroken Steffy and Drunk Heartbroken Carter Meet in Eric's Office

On the Friday, August 14, 2026, episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy tied a few on in first class while Carter tied a few on in Eric's office.

Finn's Distraught

Brooke and Ridge sat with yet another European reporter, vaguely dropping hints about a new line. The reporter understood they were doing damage control after what "Logan did to Forrester."

Just then, a disheveled Finn walked in after changing his clothing, demanding to know if Steffy was there. Brooke and Ridge were confused because Steffy was supposed to be having a romantic staged reunion with Finn. The reporter left and refused to even air kiss Brooke. She just shook her hand.

Brooke and Ridge asked Finn what happened, so he told them all about seeing Sheila on the beach. "Steffy lost it. She completely lost it. I've never been so worried about my wife," Finn said. Ridge and Brooke just wanted to argue about why Finn allowed Sheila on the plane, as if he had any control. "When are you going to learn?" Ridge said.

Ridge needed Finn to assure him that he didn't speak to Sheila, but Finn noted that it was a 14-hour flight so he had to say something. Ridge was clearly furious, but Brooke wanted to be the voice of reason. Finn made Ridge promise that he wasn't lying when he said that he had no idea where Steffy was.

Finn knew he screwed up, but he just wanted to find his wife. When he used the word "mother" when referring to Sheila, Finn didn't do himself any favors with Ridge. Finn detailed the incident on the beach more, which just drove Ridge crazier. He blamed Finn and Finn blamed himself for all of it.

Flight Attendant, Bring Me Another

On the plane, a forlorn and drunk Steffy refused to even eat, but she had zero problem ordering another drink. She stared at her ringless finger and downed another glass of alcohol.

As Steffy slept with empty tiny bottles of booze on her tray, she recalled her life with Finn, from their wedding to when she tossed her rings in the sand and stormed off. She also recalled all the times Sheila had interfered in her marriage, since the day she took her vows.

Steffy even remembered moments she was unconscious for, which was quite a feat. She woke with a start when she recalled Sheila shooting her, which prompted Steffy to drink some more.

Carter Loses Another One

In Eric's office, Carter left another voicemail for Daphne, as another one of his romances had ended. He even managed to get this one to the altar. Carter finally spotted Daphne walking through the halls and chased after her. He insisted they would get through their fertility problems together.

Carter brought Daphne into the office so they could repeat the exact same things they said yesterday. Daphne told Carter that nothing had changed. They can't have a family; her heart had been ripped out, and she was leaving. "I never should have come to L.A. and fallen in love. It was a terrible, terrible mistake," she said, devastating Carter.

When Carter put her hand on Daphne's shoulder, she pushed him away and said she was returning to Paris to see her family. She needed some distance. "You're not walking away from me," Carter said. "Yes, I am," Daphne declared. Carter told Daphne that he was her family, but she insisted that he had to stay in Los Angeles.

She even took her wedding ring off and tried to hand it to Carter, but he refused to take it. So, she placed it on the conference table instead and told Carter goodbye. He picked up the rings and stared at them in tears.

Alone, Carter started drinking as much as Steffy was drinking on the plane. He stumbled out of the office just before Steffy stumbled in. She looked as if she was going to be sick all over Eric's desk just as a Carter returned with more booze. Carter asked Steffy what happened, so she told him about Sheila. "It's done. Finn and I are over," she said.
