On the Monday, August 17, 2026, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Finn cried, Ridge shouted, Steffy lamented, and Carter was sad.
Ridge Yells at Finn

In Monaco, Finn continued to fret about Steffy. Nobody had any idea where she was. Ridge launched into a tirade, blaming Finn for all of this. He had promised he would keep Sheila away from Steffy and had failed. Finn started to defend himself, explaining that he didn't feel the need to stress Steffy out when he really believed Sheila was heading back to Los Angeles.
Brooke postponed some meetings until they found Steffy, but Ridge was too busy yelling at Finn to be much help. Finn once again tried to defend himself, but Brooke and Ridge were horrified when they heard that he had the audacity to allow Sheila to speak to Steffy.
Finn nearly broke down when he revealed the wedding ring in his hand. Brooke was shocked that Steffy had taken it off. "Oh man, she took her rings off. You're in trouble, son," Ridge sighed. Finn was not about to let this be the end. He was determined to find his wife.
Brooke worried that Sheila might fly home and go after Steffy and the kids. Finn thought she sounded ridiculous and defended Sheila again. "She's lonely. She wants a family," he said. "She can't have your family," Ridge hollered. Finn just lost it at that point, as his voice quaked, and the tears came. "It's terrible. I screwed up. I know," he said.
Finally, Finn decided that he had to fly back to L.A. because he was sure that Steffy was there. Ridge was nice enough to have his driver take Finn to the airport. Ridge apologized to Finn for yelling at him, but warned his son-in-law that he had a blind spot when it came to Sheila. He noted that Eric had once had the same blind spot. "I've got a terrible feeling. I need to get to Steffy before something happens that tears us even further apart," he said.
Steffy Melted Down
In Eric's office, a drunk Carter asked a drunk Steffy where her wedding ring was. "I left it in Monaco. When I left my husband. I can't trust Finn. Not about Sheila. Nothing," she said. Steffy couldn't even sleep on the plane, as every time she closed her eyes, she only saw Sheila. Steffy was horrified that Finn spent hours on a plane with Sheila and he didn't even bother to tell her.
Steffy was just going to focus on keeping herself and her kids safe now, so her marriage had to be over. That prompted Carter to look at his own wedding ring. Steffy looked up and saw the booze in Carter's hand and told him to pour her one. She needed as much alcohol as she could get.
Carter sat down on Eric's desk with Steffy as she lamented her problems with Finn. "It's like nothing you say gets through," Carter said, understanding. Steffy was amazed that Carter got it, but didn't bother asking Carter why he was in Eric's office drinking.
"I'm the one apologizing. I'm the one who feels bad for being worried. I feel like I'm a nagging wife, constantly needing reassurance," Steffy cried. Carter could sympathize. "All I want to do is be free of the woman who shot me," Steffy said, relaying how Finn defended Sheila while they were in Monaco.
Steffy continued to go on and on about how she just wanted to get away from it all in their special place, but Sheila had to go and ruin it with her presence. Steffy told Carter the whole story of finding Sheila on the beach. "She was right there and my husband wasn't going to protect me," Steffy cried.
Steffy Realizes Carter is Upset
Finally, Steffy noticed that Carter also looked sad and asked him why he was there. So, he told her about Daphne dumping him and handing him her ring. He was going through it too. Steffy assured Carter that Daphne loved him. "Not enough to figure things out...I gave her every ounce of my soul. And she just gives up. She just walks out," he marvelled. "How does she just give up on us?"
Steffy and Carter continued to pour out their sorrows to each other while also drowning those same sorrows in booze. "I feel alone right now," Steffy said. "There is only so much more I can take." Steffy began to lose it, screaming about how she can't handle the stress anymore.
"I want to get this rage right out of me," she yelled, as Carter grabbed her arms and said, "I got you." They looked each other in the eyes, Steffy caressed Carter's cheek, and...fade to black...
