B&B Recap August 19: Steffy Gets Ready to Confess All to Finn, Electra Threatens Dylan

On the Wednesday, August 19, 2026, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy's guilt started to get the best of her, Daphne wanted to start a family, Electra threatened Dylan, and Will defended Dylan to his mother.

Guilty Steffy

Steffy stood in her living room, looking sick and not saying a word, as Finn begged for her forgiveness. He knew he messed up and hoped they could come back from this. "I got to you as soon as I could because I had a feeling if I couldn't make things right, it would get worse," Finn said.

Finn told Steffy that he was horrified at what Steffy had been forced to go through in Monaco all because of him. "I should have told you the moment I knew she was there. I made a terrible, terrible mistake," he said, as Steffy still couldn't get any words out.

Finally, she spoke, and once again made Finn feel he had done everything wrong and she had done nothing wrong. "I'll never forget that terrible moment, realizing Sheila was there and you had spent hours with her on a plane and you didn't even say anything to me," Steffy cried, as she didn't say anything to Finn about her sex with Carter (or her various kisses with Liam while she was married to Finn).

"How am I supposed to trust you?" Steffy asked, without a hint of self-awareness. A guilty Finn swore he could earn her trust back. He just needed her to give him a chance.

Steffy admitted that she had overreacted on the beach, but she was still furious that he had told her Sheila had changed and defended Sheila. She couldn't take her presence in their lives any longer. "I need you to stand up for me. I can't live like this," she cried.

"Don't let one terrible mistake tear us apart," Finn begged, while Steffy allowed him to believe she also didn't make an even worse mistake. As Steffy cried and shook, Finn promised to choose her over Sheila from now on. He even offered to get a restraining order. Steffy told Finn that she wasn't okay at all, but he had no real idea why.

Steffy confused Finn as she started to whisper that this was all wrong. But Finn said he knew how blessed her was to have the perfect wife. Amazingly, Steffy admitted that she was not perfect. Finn promised to be the husband that Steffy needed. Steffy said she knew she hadn't been the best wife. "There's something I gotta tell you. Something you need to know," she said.

Guilty Carter

In Eric's office, Daphne fell into Carter's arms as he flashed back to Steffy kicking him awake. Daphne could tell that Carter was distracted and asked if his feelings toward her had changed. Carter didn't say much, so Daphne kept talking, telling her husband that she understood why he was upset. But she was back now and ready to move forward.

"Carter, I love you. Tell me you love me, too," Daphne implored. Carter pointed out that Daphne had handed her ring back and run. Daphne explained that she was scared and had made a mistake. Carter lamented that Daphne had claimed she wasn't family. Daphne felt awful for the things she had said and wished she was able to take it all back.

"I'm here. Your wife. And I will never leave you again," Daphne said. Carter was perplexed and surprised that Daphne wanted to remain married. Daphne claimed she even wanted a family with Carter, which just added to his guilt. Daphne even wanted to discuss options for starting a family.

Meddling Mother

Will showered on his beach house deck after a swim and remembered happier times with Electra. Katie appeared and noted that she had not seen much of Will lately. He claimed he had been working from home. Of course, the conversation turned to Electra, with Katie wondering why Will was spending so much time with Electra's supposed best friend.

Katie told Will about meeting Dylan a few days ago when she just walked right into the beach house as if she lived there. Katie started asking multiple questions about Dylan, including why she was living in her car and why she hadn't reached out to her cousin when she had needed help.

Will didn't see why Electra would contact her "wack job" cousin. That answer didn't satisfy Katie, who detailed her encounter with Dylan, how she would follow his family and was their biggest fan. Will was surprised to learn this about Dylan. "You see a girl who's fun. I see an opportunist waiting in the wings," Katie said.

Will defended Dylan, telling his mother that she was a good person. "A good person doesn't go after her mother's boyfriend," Katie noted. She claimed that Dylan had just been biding her time until she could make her move. Will once again told Katie that she was wrong about Dylan, but it went in one ear and out the other.

Electra is a Forrester

In the design office, Electra remembered the first moment she met Will when he bumped into her jewelry tray and it splattered everywhere. Then, she recalled Dylan telling her that she talked with Will on his couch all night. When Dylan walked in and saw Electra, she said she'd just come back later.

"Cause that's where you do your best work, right? Behind my back?" Electra quipped. Dylan didn't want to argue and tried to speak civilly, but Electra wouldn't let her. "This is where you stop talking," Electra ordered. "My name is on the side of the building. My name is on those checks you cash. It would be so easy to get you fired, but I won't. This is a reality check. Somewhere along the line you forgot who you're dealing with. I am Electra Forrester. If I want it, you're gone."

Dylan argued that she needed this job to make ends meet, which Electra just scoffed at, calling Dylan's claims a victim act. Electra and Dylan argued back and forth for a bit, with Electra once again whining that Dylan was her best friend. How could she "make a play" on her boyfriend?
