B&B Recap August 21: Ridge Walks In on a Frantic Steffy and Carter

On the Friday, August 21, 2026, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy and Carter argued over secrets, RJ told Electra she was perfect, and Dylan tried to be there for Will.

Ridge's Confusion

Daphne was surprised when Ridge stormed into the design office looking for Steffy. She told him that Steffy was around somewhere. Ridge said that he was worried about Steffy. Monaco had been a disaster because of Logan, plus Sheila showed up and freaked out Steffy.

"Steffy's my best friend in L.A. To know that she's in pain causes me pain," Daphne said. Daphne thought that Steffy probably needed a quiet place alone to think. Ridge thought that Steffy could use a shoulder to lean on, but he also asked how Daphne and Carter were.

Daphne told Ridge that she'd almost left Carter to go back to Paris, but changed her mind at the last minute. Ridge was stunned, but Daphne claimed she didn't mean it. She was heartbroken about her fertility issues and had made a mistake. But she was feeling positive now. "We'll find a way to have a child and nothing will come between us," Daphne asserted.

More Confusion for Ridge

Carter and Steffy walked into a private office to talk. "What were we thinking?" she asked Carter. "We weren't thinking," he replied. Steffy tried to reason that things had gone wrong in their lives, so they were there for each other. Steffy knew it was a mistake, while Carter stressed it was a mistake that had to stay secret.

"We were unfaithful. We betrayed our spouses," Steffy said, but Carter argued that telling them wouldn't do any good. Carter asked Steffy to detail what she had said to Finn. She just said that she wanted Sheila out of their lives and he vowed to make that happen. Steffy said she still planned to tell Finn the truth as soon as she could.

Carter did his best to talk Steffy out of that decision. "Steffy, you have a choice. You can be righteous or merciful. You can't be both," he said, claiming it would hurt Finn too much to know. Carter claimed the only reason he was keeping a secret from Daphne was that he loved her and couldn't lose her.

Steffy argued that was a reason to tell the truth. Carter argued that they'd also lose their best friends, Ridge and Daphne. "The fallout would be catastrophic," he said. Carter begged Steffy to think about both of their marriages, as well as her children and his potential children.

As they argued back and forth, Ridge heard the commotion from the hallway and burst in, asking what was going on.

The Electra Line

In the FC showroom, Electra was reveling in the idea of her own fashion line. RJ had just pitched the idea to Eric and was sure it would happen. Of course, she had to act modest about it and say that her focus was jewelry and she wasn't a model or anything. RJ once again let Electra know how perfect she was.

"Electra, you are perfect for this," he gushed. He had no doubt that it would happen, so Electra just gushed about how wonderful this would be. The decision was now all up to Ridge and Steffy. Then, they decided to take their little pre-celebration to Bikini Bar. "Why should I let Dylan stop me from going to my favorite spot?" she asked.

At Bikini Bar, Jessica and Dylan gossiped about men, with Dylan admitting that she hadn't seen Will since her improper night with Will on his couch. "Electra was actually so mad that she slapped me across the face," Dylan said. Jessica was appalled to hear this.

Dylan reasoned that Electra had dumped Will again, but she did feel a little bad about going over there. Before they could say much more, Will walked in and sat down at a table. Jessica urged Dylan to see if he wanted a drink..." or you." So, Dylan did just that and walked up to Will's table.

Will looked like a hot mess as he ordered both whiskey and beer, so Dylan got serious and asked if he was okay. Will didn't want to talk about his feelings. He just wanted to drink. Dylan insisted on talking, so they discussed his last confrontation with Electra. Will didn't know how things had spun so completely out of control.

When RJ and Electra arrived, Electra spotted Will and Dylan talking almost immediately. "Great, Will's here. And he's talking to Dylan. What a shocker," Electra said. She admitted that the only reason she didn't get Dylan fired was so that she couldn't play the victim.

RJ went to the bar, giving Will a moment to approach Electra. He noted that it looked like Electra and RJ were now together and it bothered him. Electra made a few snide comments about Dylan and Will's night on the couch, but Will didn't want to argue anymore and asked how Electra had been. "I think right now we have to just live separate lives," Electra insisted.
