In Eric’s office at Forrester Creations, Taylor recounted to Ridge about Sheila going to Monaco and how it had affected Steffy. Taylor couldn’t believe that Finn flew all the way to Monaco with Sheila. Ridge quipped that Finn should have moved back to coach and sat near the restrooms to avoid his biological mom. Taylor noted that the situation was complex, but that Finn should have come forward.

Steffy woke up in bed and reached over to Finn’s side of the bed. She looked at a photo of her family. She flashed back to throwing her wedding rings back at Finn in Monaco over Sheila being there and Finn’s lies. Steffy got out of bed and went into the living room.

She recalled unloading on Carter in Eric’s office and pouring a drink. She remembered Carter telling her that Daphne had left and Carter taking her in his arms. Then, she remembered waking up the next morning on the sofa with Carter.

In another flashback, he urged her not to talk to Finn. Then, Finn entered with coffee and breakfast. He apologized for having to work late nights. Steffy said that she hadn’t been sleeping well since returning from Monaco. She said it was sweet of him to get her breakfast. He said he was married to the most wonderful wife in the world. Finn said that he was going to tell her about Sheila, but they ran into her on the beach in Monaco before he could. He added that he was done asking for Sheila to have a place in their lives.

Finn added he knew that Steffy would never let him down. Finn offered to show Steffy that he’d blocked Sheila from his phone. She said that wasn’t necessary. Finn admitted that Steffy was traumatized that day on the beach. He vowed total transparency so that they could be happy in their marriage. Finn noted it was a horrible time. Steffy said that she just wanted to block it all from her mind. Finn said that he’s never been more grateful for his loving and loyal wife.

Finn said that it would kill Steffy if he were to lose her; he added he’d never jeopardize their relationship, just like she never would. Then, Ridge called. He and Taylor spoke to Steffy and Finn, all on speaker. Finn vowed to Steffy’s parents that Sheila was out of the picture. He wouldn’t screw up again. Finn added that he hated that he hurt her. He took all the blame (not knowing Steffy is the one who feels horrible over her night of intimacy with Carter).

Later, Taylor asked Ridge if Steffy sounded down to him. She sensed her daughter was struggling to move on from this whole mess.

In the design room at Forrester Creations, Carter closed up his laptop. He was agitated. Then, Daphne Rose entered. Daphne noted her husband was distracted. He said that he needed to speak to Steffy. Daphne Rose said that she’d heard a rumor about Steffy.

Carter asked what kind of rumor? Daphne said it was the rumor that Sheila went to Monaco. Carter said he already knew about that.

Daphne Rose asked her husband if Steffy had opened up to her. Carter said that he’d told Steffy that Daphne had left him. She apologized for losing her head, adding that Carter had done nothing wrong. She said it was unfair of her to blame him for anything. Daphen Rose promised that they’d go through everything together. Carter shared that Steffy had told her about Monaco. Daphne Rose hoped that Steffy and Finn would work things out. Carter added that he felt that way, too – more than his wife could know.

Carter suggested to his wife that she give Steffy some space. Daphne said she modeled her marriage after Steffy and Finn’s. Carter said that they were doing their own thing, and he didn’t want to focus on them. Daphne agreed. She said that they would have their family, however it comes. They will teach their child how to be good and kind and live with integrity. Daphne Rose said that she wanted their child to be just like him. Daphne Rose and Carter hugged.

Alone, Carter recalled Daphne walking out on him and waking up in Eric’s office with Steffy. In anger, he knocked over a chair. Carter said in voice over if Daphne found out anything, then he would lose everything. He was hoping Steffy would not tell Finn.

Steffy Wants Her Marriage to Work

Back at the Cliff House, Finn comforted a distraught Steffy. He said it was wrong to try to appease Sheila. That was wrong. He wanted to be the best husband to Steffy as she’s been the best wife to him.

Crying, Steffy said that she hasn’t been good. Finn said all that mattered was that his ring was back on her finger. She vowed never to take it off. Steffy recalled celebrating the anniversary of their reunion and remembered their deep connection. “It was magical,” said Finn.

Steffy asked how she could have lost sight of that. She said she wasn’t sure what came over her. “I can’t take it back,” she sobbed. Finn said he was the one who had broken her trust. Steffy said that she knew Finn wasn’t perfect, but neither was she. Finns said no one is perfect, but he almost cost them their marriage. He should have told her about Sheila. Finn said they were starting fresh and that from this day forward they’d be honest with each other.

Steffy told Finn she loved him and embraced him. He said he loved her, too. In voiceover, Steffy heard Carter’s words, begging her not to share their night with Finn.
