B&B Recap August 5: Katie Demands to Know Who 'Melissa Dylan' Really Is

On the Wednesday, August 5, 2026, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Katie decided that Dylan was the enemy, Wyatt gave Will some advice, and Daphne cried about her plight.

Dylan seemed perplexed when Katie accused her of being "up to something." Katie explained that Will and Electra had broken up, he was crushed, and there was Dylan, ready and waiting. Katie told Dylan to stop pretending around her. Dylan claimed she just cared about Will after he took her in and saved her from life on the street.

Katie asked Dylan if Electra would say they were friends. Dylan didn't answer, so Katie continued on. "Will and Electra are heartbroken and I have a feeling you are a large reason why," Katie said. "Will is more than just a friend to you. Isn't that right, Melissa?"

Dylan seemed shocked that Katie was hurling all these accusations. "If it's true that it was just a makeout session, I'm sure that you were hoping for more," Katie said. She told Dylan that she stabbed Electra in the back, so Dylan defended herself, noting that Electra constantly broke up with Will. She claimed she only wanted to put a smile on Will's face.

"Well, we both know how you tried to do that, don't we, Melissa?" Katie asked. Dylan once again insisted that she hated seeing Will so broken up over Electra breaking up with him. After all, Electra chose to be TeamForrester, so Katie noted that there were teams. She assumed Dylan was on her own team.

Dylan told Katie that Will was a "true prince" and she was so grateful to him. Katie pointed out that Dylan had come to L.A. as a teacher, had run over Luna, and somehow made her way into Will's life and lived in his house for months. "And then, Electra and Will break up and BAM! you are there," Katie said. "I want answers, and you're going to give them to me. Who are you, Melissa Dylan, and what exactly do you want from my son?"

Sad Sack Will

Will stumbled into the Logan office looking like a sad sack, something Wyatt quickly noticed. Wyatt knew if had to be about "all the women in your life."

Wyatt reminded Will that Electra kept walking out on him, constantly leaving him in a tailspin. "I don't know how many more times I can do this, Wyatt. She walks out on me every other Tuesday," Will sighed. Despite that, Will was sure that Electra was the one, which only added to Wyatt's exasperation.

Wyatt pointed out that Will was so sure that Electra was the one, yet he was quick to spend the night with Dylan. Wyatt also noted that it wasn't like Will was cheating on Electra, since she had already dumped him (again). Wyatt wondered if Will had spoken with his mother about the situation.

Will said he had and Katie was concerned about Dylan. Wyatt asked who Dylan was, so Will explained that she was the girl who was at his house the day before. Wyatt was fascinated to learn that Dylan was also Electra's best friend. Wyatt realized they weren't friends anymore and thought Electra deserved to be angry.

Will didn't like that Katie had blamed Dylan for their night together because he knew it took two. Wyatt asked Will how he felt about Dylan. Will said he had complicated feelings for Dylan, but was still in love with Electra. Wyatt wanted Will to stop pining after the girl.

Daphne and Carter Despair

In the FC design office, Carter and Zende discussed the upcoming Monaco trip. Zende changed the subject to Carter's personal problems and offered to be any kind of help that he could. Carter noted that Daphne had been taking things hard.

While Carter was just worried about Daphne, Zende told him to also focus on himself. He also had to be hurting. Carter admitted that he was, but he didn't want Daphne to know. She was already holding onto enough guilt. Zende remained confident that Carter and Daphne would have their family one day.

In Eric's office, Daphne wept in Steffy's arms. Daphne was worried about herself because she was in such a funk after getting the news of her early menopause. Steffy told Daphne to give it time. When Daphne showed Steffy her fragrance gift box for their Monaco clients, Steffy invited Daphne on the trip.

Daphne turned down the invitation, so Steffy launched into a speech about fertility options. She'd even been doing some research. Daphne just didn't want to take the chance on treatments that had little chance of success. Steffy suggested surrogacy or adoption, but Daphne didn't want to talk about it.

Later, Carter stopped in to Eric's office to see Steffy when she was alone. Steffy said she had just spoken with Daphne and she was devastated. However, Steffy would be there for both of them. Apparently, Carter and Daphne had jumped the gun and even decorated a nursery before her diagnosis.

The crib had just arrived because they had forgotten to cancel the order. Daphne broke down when she saw it.
