Here’s your recap for The Bold and the Beautiful episode airing Friday, July 17, 2026, as Electra made her choice, Electra made her move, and Finn failed to read the room.
Electra-Frying

Will tried to take Electra somewhere else, but Eric stopped him. Will suggested Eric let Electra speak for herself. “You should go,” Electra tearfully said as she embraced her grandfather. Eric ordered out and told him to never come out. Will left, feeling very dejected.
Electra said that Will was the one for her. Eric said he wasn’t. Eric said that Electra’s late grandfather, John, is looking down on them from heaven. Eric advised Electra to focus on work and get Will out of her mind for the rest of her life. “Yes, sir,” Electra replied.
Dylan Makes Her Move

At Bikini, Dylan cut lemons at the bar. Jessica told her that if she waited too long, every hottie in LA would be making a play for Will Spencer. Shelly joined Dylan and Jessica at the bar. Shelly had jumped out of a plane earlier in the day, which got her two million viewers on social media. Shelly spied Will sitting alone. Dylan walked over to Will. She asked him if he was okay. Will said he wasn’t doing so well after he visited the Forrester estate. He asked for a beer and to be alone.
Shelly came over to Will and suggested some dating ideas for the next day. Will was so fixated on Electra that he got Shelly’s name wrong, calling her “Sharon,” a likely nod to The Young and the Restless’s Sharon. (IYKYK). Will told Shelley that she wasn’t interested.
Dylan came over to see Will and offered an ear. Will recapped what happened at the Forrester estate, and that Electra kicked him out. Will wondered if he was living in Romeo & Juliet? Will said that he knew for sure that Electra wanted him. Gently, Dylan pointed out that Electra didn’t stand up for her relationship with Will.
Will appeared to be on his fourth beer. She told him they were closing up. She offered to give him a ride. He said he’d walk. Dylan called Will by the name “Spencer.” Will drunk dialed Electra. She let it go to voicemail. He told her that he was looking at the moon and she’d always be in her heart. “I will always love you,” Will said. When Electra heard that, she tried to take the call so that Will could hear her say, “I love you, too.” They each looked up at the crescent moon with a sense of loss.
Read the Room, Finn

Finn came in from a swim in the ocean and took a call from Sheila. She said it’d mean the world to her if Finn were able to convince Steffy to let Sheila be a part of their lives. Then, Steffy came in. Finn said that he wanted to talk to Steffy. She told him that Daphne is unable to have kids.
Steffy revealed that Daphne had been diagnosed with early menopause. She feels horrible for both Daphne and Carter. Steffy wished that Daphne could experience pregnancy. Finn said they’d find their path to parenthood. Finn said that infertility is always more difficult for the person going through it. Steffy felt they’d have kids through adoption or some other way. Steffy and Finn acknowledged that adoption worked out for him as he was raised by his mother, Li, and not Sheila.
Finn said that Sheila feels she’s proved herself by giving Deacon the divorce. Finn suggested considering the possibility of letting Sheila into their lives. Steffy stated that there’s no way not to tell whether or not Sheila will be a threat. “She’s trying to get to our children, Finn,” Steffy pointed out. Steffy told her husband not to even entertain letting Sheila back into their lives. “It is not safe,” Steffy said. Finn pointed out that Sheila is a changed woman. He believed that. Finn said Sheila’s soft edges came out after she married Deacon. Finn said that she’s ready to move on. Steffy was firm. She said we can’t let Sheila in. Not even a crack. Meanwhile, Sheila sat in a dark room. She hoped that Steffy would accept her.
