The Bold and the Beautiful's June 30 episode delivered the fallout fans have been waiting for as Brooke unleashed her fury on Katie over Hope's shocking move to Logan. While Hope struggled with the consequences of her decision, Donna found herself fighting to save her marriage as Eric questioned where her loyalties truly lie.
Brooke and Katie Go to War

Brooke still couldn't wrap her mind around Katie stealing "her daughter" away from her. Katie expressed that Brooke should be proud of her successful daughter, but instead, she's focused on this perceived betrayal.
Brooke wanted Hope's involvement at Logan to come to an end so she could resume her duties at Forrester and Hope for the Future. She referred to Logan as "the dark side," which was rich considering the way everyone at Forrester had continuously treated Hope for several years.
Katie denied resorting to any lies or manipulations to get Hope to join her company. Hope was exactly where she wanted to be. That may be a difficult truth for Brooke to accept, but it's the only true reality of the situation. Brooke revealed that everyone at Forrester was cheering Katie on during the show until Hope walked out onto the runway.
Katie provided a safer professional home for Hope at Logan. It was nice to hear that Hope for the Future was scheduled to make a comeback, but there was no guarantee that it was going to last. Hope was fed that line before, and she needed to choose herself.
Brooke confirmed that Katie was the villain in everyone's story. She was the bad guy. Was Katie the true villain in all of this, or is anyone who dares to carve their own path automatically labeled as such? Brooke wondered how Katie transformed into the selfish human being standing before her.
Brooke couldn't trust Katie or Donna after keeping the truth from her. Donna was collateral damage in this ongoing feud, but Katie urged her big sister to rethink things. Regardless of the personal feelings in all of it, Katie pointed out that bringing on Deke and Hope was a sound business decision. Anyone would've made the same move.
Katie laid it out pretty clearly for Brooke. She offered Hope something that Forrester would never have done. Brooke was so self-conscious about how she was perceived by everyone that she couldn't help but make Katie's big day about herself. She was stuck in the past, and she had obvious resentment about how she kept the family together when they were younger.
Brooke completely came unglued and started screaming at Katie about how she stole her name and her daughter. Katie bit her tongue and allowed Brooke to go on her rant, but Brooke escalated things even further and smashed the TV monitor displaying the Hope by Logan logo. She vowed to rescue Hope from her sister and Logan, signaling the war was far from over.
Hope Faces the Consequences

Liam beamed with pride over the public opinion of Deke and Hope. To Hope, this was a fresh chapter in her career, but she wrestled with how to explain her actions to Brooke. It was radio silence from her, so now she awaited the eventual face-off with her mother, where she'd be forced to atone.
As Hope struggled with her choice, Liam brought up Beth and asked Hope what she'd do if she were in Brooke's shoes. She would unconditionally support her daughter in all of her endeavors. Instead, Brooke is willing to throw away her relationships with Hope and Katie because of her overly inflated ego.
Hope knew that Zende would be negatively impacted by her choice to defect to Logan. Liam tried his best to reassure his wife that she did nothing wrong, but it was difficult for her to accept. Hope was forced to live with the consequences of choosing herself because it was coming at the expense of others.
Eric Questions Donna's Loyalty

At the Forrester mansion, Donna begged Eric to speak to her. She knew how upset he was, but she did her best to seem genuinely apologetic. Still, Eric questioned how Donna could live with herself after withholding such a monumental secret from him.
Eric claimed that she could've come clean at any time, but she reminded him that she was sworn to secrecy. To Donna's credit, she had no idea that the show was being moved up to compete directly against her husband. She wasn't the bad guy in this scenario, even if everyone was desperate to find someone to hurl the blame at.
Eric asked Donna to give an answer about who she was loyal to, but the entire condemnation of her actions is perplexing. Eric swore Donna to the same type of secrecy at the same company, but since he's back at Forrester, ruling the roost, suddenly it's not the same.
Donna tried to explain that she was begged by Katie to keep what she knew to herself. All Donna wanted was for Eric to offer forgiveness because, ultimately, he was who mattered most to her. She was in an impossible position, and she didn't want to lose her marriage over protecting her sister's secret.
