Carter: B&B Recap November 4: Steffy Tells Her Parents Her Big Baby News

Steffy broke her shocking pregnancy news to Ridge and Taylor on The Bold and the Beautiful. Meanwhile, Carter supported Daphne, who grew more excited about the baby Steffy is carrying for them on the Wednesday, November 4, 2026, episode.

Lunch for Five

Ridge showed up at Taylor’s office. She was concerned about why Steffy wanted to talk to them. Ridge figured it was no big deal. Ridge suggested to Taylor that maybe Steffy just wants to tell her parents about her life. Taylor apologized for worrying so much. She hoped that her instincts were wrong.

At Finn and Steffy’s house, Steffy set the table for her lunch with Finn, Ridge, and Taylor. Steffy said she was as ready to tell her parents as she was ready to tell Finn. He said he was still processing the news. Finn added that he loved Steffy, and if this is what she wanted to do, then he would walk beside her. Steffy told Finn that she loved him. He left to get the food.

Alone, Steffy flashed back to Finn’s angry response to her being Carter and Daphne Rose’s surrogate and egg donor. A stressed-out Steffy called Carter. She told him her parents were on their way over, and she was going to talk about the pregnancy. Carter urged Steffy to calm down, as stress wasn’t good for her or the baby.

Carter told Steffy that they had to stick to the story. Steffy agreed. Carter asked Steffy to call him when she was done.

Finn returned home with the food. Steffy said that she was not up for cooking. Finn said the food was from Ridge’s favorite spot. They were already coming into this with a win! Finn asked Steffy to sit down. She said that she was a little overwhelmed. Finn promised Steffy it would all work out.

Finn told Steffy that she’d never have to worry about him not being there for her. Finn said that when he saw Daphne’s reaction to the baby's heart beating, he understood more why Steffy was doing this. He told her he trusted her. Finn added that Ridge and Taylor do, too. Finn said that Steffy’s parents know that she’s selfless and honest. He added that if Ridge and Taylor need time, then they can have it.

Then, Ridge and Taylor showed up. Finn told Ridge that they had ordered his food. Ridge quipped that they were buttering him up. Ridge asked if there was a special reason for the meeting. Finn went to get the food from the kitchen.

Finn told his in-laws about his busy conference. Taylor asked Steffy what was going on. Steffy said that the kids were back at school, and Kelly was excited about a recital. Ridge reminded Steffy that he took her to daddy/daughter recitals. Ridge said that spending time with your children is what makes life worth living.

Taylor said that she was done with the small talk. The good doctor asked why Steffy wanted to talk to them. Steffy announced that she was expecting. Taylor and Ridge got up and hugged Steffy. Ridge said you can’t have too many grandkids.

Finn said that this wasn’t what they thought. Finn pointed out that Carter and Daphne want to have a baby. Taylor asked her daughter where she was going with all this. Finn said that Daphne wanted someone she knew to carry her and Carter’s baby.

Taylor told Steffy that it was a huge ask, both physically and emotionally. Dr. Hayes said that women who do this have to go through extensive screenings for both physical and mental health. Ridge noted that Steffy said that she was expecting. “So you already agreed to this,” Ridge noted.

Steffy confirmed that she was Carter and Daphne Rose’s egg donor and surrogate. Taylor was stunned that Steffy didn’t see their advice. Taylor said that she wanted to know what was truly going on.

Carter’s Concerned

At Forrester Creations, Del, the maintenance worker, cleaned the replaced glass window in the CEO's office (from when Katie broke it with a bottle of champagne). Next, Carter told Daphne that Steffy was telling Ridge and Taylor the baby news. Daphne asked Carter if he was worried about Ridge and Taylor’s reaction. Carter said that there’s a good chance that Ridge will be livid with him.

Daphne said that Ridge was Carter’s best friend. She hoped that wouldn’t change. Carter hoped that Ridge would come around. “It’s Steffy’s choice,” Daphne Rose said. She added that gratitude was a very small word for what she was feeling. Daphne said that Steffy’s parents will come around just like Finn did.

Planning the Nursery

Daphne Rose showed Carter some fabric samples for furniture for the baby’s room. She asked Carter if he was okay. Why wasn’t he more excited? He said he was, and he couldn’t wait to plan every last detail with her. Daphne said what she really wanted was a happy, healthy baby. That’s what Carter and Steffy were giving her.

Daphne Rose asked if Carter was still worried about Ridge. Carter said that he was. She told her husband not to worry. Daphne believed that Ridge and Taylor would come around. Carter and Daphne Rose told each other that they loved each other. He told her to order the rocker.
