Carter and Steffy's plan to pass off the baby they conceived naturally as a surrogate/egg donor baby on The Bold and the Beautiful isn't going so well. On the Thursday, November 5, 2026, episode, Steffy collapsed under pressure, Carter nearly did, too, and Sheila helped Deacon with his books.
Steffy Collapses
Ridge and Taylor absorbed Finn and Steffy’s news that she was pregnant with Carter’s baby. Ridge said that he saw Carter the other day, and he said nothing. Taylor tried to grill Steffy on the timeline. Finn said that he couldn’t share the news because he didn’t know.
Taylor and Ridge were stunned that Steffy went ahead without consulting her husband. Ridge asked about how this would affect Kelly and Hayes. Finn said that he had a similar reaction to Ridge’s. Steffy said that she was sorry. Ridge told her not to apologize, but he said that they were worried about her. Ridge told Steffy that she had to tell them the truth!
Taylor pointed out to Steffy that she could share insights into being a surrogate. Steffy said that she knew that this would be hard to do. Taylor asked if she truly did know. Taylor thought that she and Steffy were closer.
Steffy’s parents were stumped as to why Steffy would go ahead and do this. Taylor kept pushing. She wanted to know why Steffy didn’t come to her and talk to her mother about being a surrogate and egg donor.
Taylor said that Steffy is an adult and didn’t need permission, but she wondered why Steffy didn’t seek her mother out for advice, since others do when dealing with similar issues. Taylor said that Steffy would need support throughout this. Taylor said it breaks her heart that she’d be giving up a grandchild. If she felt that way, how does Steffy feel about giving up a child that she’s carrying?
Taylor said this would impact her body and life for a long time. Taylor said that she was hurt that Steffy couldn’t discuss this with her. Taylor wondered why Steffy wouldn’t talk to her own mother. Taylor’s words began to play over and over in Steffy’s mind. Steffy got dizzy and then collapsed.
Carter Is Concerned
Carter fretted about Steffy telling Ridge and Taylor about her carrying Carter’s baby. Then, Ridge burst into the office and blasted Carter with the truth about him and Steffy sleeping together. He ordered him out of his life! Carter left the office. Ridge slammed the door. Then, Carter woke up from the nightmare. Ridge doesn’t know the truth, but Carter fantasized that he had!
Carter checked his phone. There was a message from Daphne Rose asking if Steffy had sent an update. “Nothing yet,” Carter responded. Alone in the office, he felt the room spinning.
Still preoccupied, Carter took some paperwork for a Forrester Creations employee. Then, RJ entered. Carter said that it wasn’t a good day to talk about Electra’s line. RJ asked where his father was. Carter said he was out of the office. RJ asked till when? Then, RJ asked about Steffy. He wanted to know where everyone was.
RJ asked what was going to happen to the line now that Zende was gone. Carter told RJ that he didn’t want to lose anything else after losing Zende.
Alone in the office, Carter paced back and forth. He looked at the desk where he and Steffy were standing the night they consoled each other. He flashed back to that and to them turning to each other, and then waking up the next day, having realized that they’d had sex.
Then, Carter’s phone rang. It was Ridge. “Hey, man, what’s going on?” Carter casually asked, hoping that this wasn’t bad news. (It was.) Ridge ordered Carter to get over to Steffy’s right away.
Sheila and Deacon's Past Imperfect
Sheila showed up at Deacon’s home by sticking her three-toed foot in the door. Deacon wanted to know how she knew he’d be home. Sheila said she remembered the schedule and that today was bookkeeping day.
Deacon asked Sheila if she had set up an AI program to fix his books. Sheila said AI had nothing on her. Deacon said that Sheila was always better at handling the books. It was his best decision to put her in charge. Sheila said their divorce was one of the worst decisions.
Sheila asked Deacon if he was happy. Deacon said that he was happy that the spreadsheets were done. Sheila said that Deacon was on the way to making a lot of money. She pointed out that he was still living above Il Giardino. He said it was comfortable. She said that it was haunted by her. Deacon said it was filled with great memories.
Sheila asked if Taylor would help with the books. She pointed out that Taylor was the woman who wouldn’t marry Deacon. He said that Taylor was with Ridge. Sheila said that Ridge and Taylor are still connected through their daughter, Steffy. Sheila noted that others have family dynamics, but she does not, alas.
Sheila told Deacon that she cared about him and she wanted to see him satisfied and happy. Deacon told her she was going into dangerous territory. Sheila wondered if Taylor turned Deacon down because she was still hung up on Ridge. Sheila reminded Deacon how great they were together. Deacon said he remembered.
