Ridge was fit to be tied with Carter on The Bold and the Beautiful because the COO was making him a grandfather. Also, Sheila made a play for Deacon while Carter tried to stall Daphne Rose on the Friday, November 6, 2026, episode.
Carter's Juggling a Lot
At Forrester Creations, Carter worried about why Ridge wanted to see him. Had Steffy told them how their baby was conceived? Carter composed himself when Daphne walked into the office. She asked what was wrong. Carter said that he'd heard from Ridge, and he wanted to see Carter at Steffy's home. Carter said that Ridge didn't say much, but he feared it would not be good.
Daphne probed her husband with questions about Ridge's response to Steffy being a surrogate. Daphne said that Ridge would come to realize that this is a miracle and that he'll understand. Daphne added that Carter didn't do anything wrong. Then, he said he had to leave. Daphne Rose insisted on coming with him, but Carter said that he was going to do this by himself.
Daphne Rose told Carter that he was trying to shield her, but she wanted to help him if Ridge was upset. Daphne Rose pointed out that she was already involved. She wasn't taking no for an answer. "I hope you're right," Carter told his wife when she said Ridge would see Steffy's pregnancy as something beautiful.
Pregnant Pause
Finn stopped Taylor from calling 911 as Steffy came around. Ridge wasn't sure that his daughter was okay. Taylor helped Steffy to the sofa. Finn asked Steffy why she had fainted. Steffy said it's because Taylor is disappointed in her. Taylor said that she was shocked that her daughter was becoming a surrogate. Taylor and Ridge both said that something was off with Steffy.
Ridge told Steffy that carrying a baby was too much, as she just collapsed. Finn said that he was trying to make sense of the complicated situation. However, he wanted to remain focused on not causing his wife any stress. Finn said Steffy's pregnancy didn't change what was in his heart, and that is that Steffy is a loyal wife.
Ridge couldn't believe that Carter didn't tell him about the baby. Taylor pointed out that it's not like Steffy and Carter were having an affair!
Carter and Daphne showed up at Steffy and Finn's house. Ridge blasted Carter for choosing his daughter to be his and Daphne Rose's surrogate. Ridge called the situation disrespectful. Ridge wondered if Carter was betraying him again. Ridge wanted to hear the truth from Steffy and Carter!
Mercury Rising
Sheila told Deacon that she was proud of him for having two successful restaurants. Deacon thanked Sheila for making that happen. Sheila said that they were a good team and added that they still were.
Deacon said to Sheila that Taylor thought marriage wasn't necessary. Sheila pointed out that Taylor never had trouble saying yes to Ridge. Sheila added that Deacon would be getting a challenging daughter-in-law (with Steffy) if Taylor and Deacon got married. Sheila claimed that she wasn't crazy anymore and that she missed her son and her family. Sheila added that she also missed Deacon.
Sheila claimed that she didn't want to paint Taylor in a negative light, but she called her selfish. Sheila started flirting with Deacon. He told her that he was passing on her flirtation, but he appreciated the offer. She said he could call her anytime, and she'd rush right over. Sheila said she loved the place that they shared as a married couple.
Sheila said that she had naughty thoughts about Deacon and that Taylor probably never had any naughty thoughts at all. Sheila told Deacon that he needed someone who behaves badly.
Deacon said he might not have appreciated anything Sheila did, including handling his books. Sheila added that Deacon made a big blunder by leaving her. She added that Deacon would realize that life with Taylor is boring. Sheila suggested that she and Deacon become intimate again so that his memory can be sparked. She pointed out that they'd done it on the sofa many times. Sheila called Deacon "Daddy" and told him she wanted it. She wondered how many women Deacon had dated who were missing toes.
Deacon tried to get Sheila to leave. She said that she was going to poison Taylor. Deacon, not taking her seriously, asked how she was going to do that. Sheila quipped that mercury had always worked well for her (Sheila once poisoned Stephanie with mercury). She wondered if she could sic a Doberman on her, or if Taylor was allergic to bees (referring to other crimes Sheila committed).
Sheila called Taylor a "space-filler." Deacon told Sheila that she was crazy. "I've been told," Sheila deadpanned, adding that she was happy to help Deacon with his books. She offered to continue to help her ex with his books. It could be the first of many naughty secrets between them.

Deacon commented on Sheila's bank account. He noted that Eric paid Sheila a lot of alimony back in the day. Sheila kissed Deacon. He pulled away.
