B&B Recap October 1: Carter Refuses to Take No For an Answer

Carter is myopic about the path that he and Steffy have to take on The Bold and the Beautiful. The recap for Thursday, October 1, 2026, has the Forrester Creations COO pressuring Steffy to go along with his plan. Also, Katie explained to Hope about her last visit with the Forresters, and Will warned Dylan about his mom's scheme.

Parental Planning

Steffy told Carter that they don’t have to lie. They could come clean. Carter said that if they do that, they’ll lose everything. Carter said let’s just tell Daphne that the medical procedure would be done and nobody would know the difference.

Steff conceded that the baby would be showing, but she didn’t think that she could go through with this. Steffy pointed out that the baby will be physically attached to her, and she’s worried about Finn’s life, just not the baby’s.

Steffy said that Finn couldn’t believe Steffy was entertaining the idea of being a surrogate. Steffy said that Finn believed the issue was moot. Steffy couldn’t believe that Carter wanted her to go ahead with it. “What am I supposed to say when he comes home and finds out?” Steffy asked.

Carter conceded that it wasn’t going to be easy, lying to everyone. Steffy wondered what Carter would be sacrificing. He’d be the baby’s father, but Steffy wouldn’t be his mother. Also, what are they going to say that the baby came early (as Steffy is already pregnant)? Carter said that we have to do this now. It has to be now, Carter stated!

Steffy said that she agreed to possibly being the surrogate before Finn reacted negatively. Carter didn’t mean to pressure her, but the clock was ticking. Carter said Steffy could explain it to Finn. He loved her, so he’d understand. Steffy said that, as a doctor, Finn would want to see every scan.

Carter yelled at Steffy that he had contacts and people who could help them. He implored her to believe that everything was going to be okay. Carter said let’s surprise Daphne and give her the news that the embryo has been transferred and reveal that Steffy was carrying his and Daphne's baby.

Daphne's Secret

Brooke hoped that Katie wouldn’t pull any more stunts. Brooke put a halt to talking about Katie. Brooke asked Daphne Rose about the baby she and Carter want. Hope assured Katie that she and Deke would get the job done.

Brooke said that Daphne and Carter were looking at a surrogate. Ridge asked if they’d found one. Daphne flashed back to Steffy saying that she’d consider it if she were the right person. Daphne said that she and Carter had found someone special.

Brooke thought it was a good idea that they found someone suitable. She wanted to know who it was. Daphne recalled her and Carter discussing that Steffy was only considered to be the surrogate. Daphne Rose teased that the surrogate is remarkable and she’d be thrilled if she were to carry their child.

Ridge said that the surrogate must be a wonderful woman and that Daphne and Carter will be great parents. Carter is kind and faithful, Ridge said. Daphne smiled at the prospect of having a baby.

Will’s Warning

At the beach house, Will marveled at what Katie wanted Dylan to do. Dylan said that if it got Katie to like her, then maybe it’d be worth it. Dylan and Will kissed.

Will said he liked Dylan because she was feisty and that she didn’t walk out on him (like Electra did). He called her beautiful and sexy. “Say that again,” Dylan teased. Will complied. Dylan said that she wanted to prove her love to Will as often and as creatively as possible. She said she wanted to make Will happy, and she thought she knew what made them both happy. More kissing followed.

Dylan said she was leaving for work. She said that she’d talk to Zende. It couldn’t hurt. Will said he would talk to Katie and also do whatever Dylan wanted later.

Zende’s Dilemma

At Forrester Creations, a frustrated Zende sat at a design table; he looked at his phone and looked at Hope’s texts. Zende tried designing, but he couldn’t clear his mind. Then, Dylan entered, asking if he had a minute. Zende asked why she cared whether or not he talked to Hope. Dylan said it’d be important for him and Hope. “And you?” Zende added.

Dylan shrugged that Zende could see what Hope wanted. She confessed that Katie put her up to asking Zende, but it wasn’t in a sneaky way. Dylan said Zende owed it to Hope to hear her give her side of the story. Zende wasn’t sure what he’d say if he were with Hope and Katie.

Finding Forrester

At Logan Designs, Katie pushed for Zende. She said that she could give him everything he wanted! Hope wasn’t sure he’d come over to Logan. Katie said it would just take a conversation. Katie said that if Dylan wanted her acceptance, she had better come through.

Hope said that Katie had issues with Miss Dylan. Katie recapped Dylan’s antics (from her point of view), adding that the least Dylan could do was get them Zene. Katie said it was great watching the brother and sister work together. Hope admitted Zende would be the perfect fit. She wondered if Katie would ever give Dylan a chance. Katie didn’t imagine Will and Dylan would last.

Hope said that Brooke called her, but she didn’t pick up. Hope added that Brooke left a message, saying that she missed her. Hope said the feeling was mutual.

Katie recounted to Hope when she went over to the Forrester mansion and begged Brooke to come together as a family. Katie added that Brooke, standing side by side with Donna, told her that she was no longer family and that what she’d done was unforgivable.

Katie recounted Brooke stealing her husband – twice! “No man can resist her!” Katie said, rolling her eyes. Katie sighed that Brooke was following her heart when she slept with men who weren't her husband, and she shouldn’t have gone after the love of Katie’s life. “What did I do? Well, I forgave her because that’s what I do….I’m the one who forgives...Not anymore,” Katie said.

Katie promised that she’d never take this anymore. She said it's a waste to cry any tears over Brooke. Then, Katie got excited about Logan Designs and what was being created there. "Maybe Zende will join us?" Katie mused. Katie asked if her history with Brooke makes that a little sweeter? "You bet your ass it does!" Katie stated!
