Zende: B&B Recap October 12: Zende Gives in to Eric, Ridge Fires Dylan

Power dynamics shift quickly on The Bold and the Beautiful. During the episode that aired on Monday, October 12, 2026, we saw Zende's rise to power while Katie's hopes for another power play were dashed!

Putting it on the Line

Eric and Zende met alone in the CEO's office. Eric insisted on telling his grandson how he felt about him. He told Zende that Katie was in Zende's ear. Eric said that he didn't want to let Katie take another family member from Forrester Creations. Eric joked to Zende that he'd get on his knees to show how much he valued him, but then, he couldn't get up! Eric told Zende how much he loved him and how he needed his grandson to take Forrester Creations into the future.

Zende said it would be a very long time before Eric and RJ wouldn't be there to lead the company. Eric said maybe not for Ridge, but it would be for him. He said he's had a long and illustrious career. Eric promised he'd support Zende at Forrester. "What about RJ?" Zende asked.

Eric said that he'd make sure that Zende was the lead designer of the new line. "Okay," Zende said. "I'll stay." The two men hugged and said that they loved each other. Eric mentioned Forrester Creations is in dire straits. The two men embraced again.

The Waiting Is the Hardest Part

At Logan Designs, Will complimented Deke's work output to Katie and Hope. Will showed his mother the latest sales figures that show Logan is growing. Deke entered and said that he was doing his best, but he could use some help.

Deke felt he jumped the gun by welcoming Zende to Logan. Will said that Zende would say yes to the idea if he knew what was good for him. Hope was just glad that she got the chance to tell Zende how he felt. Will noted that if Zende comes over to Logan, they can thank Dylan.

Hope hoped that everything worked out for everyone's sake -- especially Zende's. Then, Katie took a call from Zende. She put him on speaker. Zende told Deke, Hope, Katie, and Will that while their offer was flattering, he'd be sticking with Forrester. He assured them that his grandfather had his back.

Katie was not happy. Will said they were foolish to think Zende would leave. Deke assured the team he'd still deliver. Katie said she remained skeptical about Eric's promise. She suspected that RJ would still be the "golden child."

At Forrester Creations, Ridge filled RJ in on Zende's possibly defecting to Logan Designs. Ridge told his son that Electra told him and Eric about Dylan's role in all this. Ridge said first it was Eric, then Hope, and now it's Zende. He's not sure why Katie was doing this. Ridge shared that Zende felt that there was favoritism in the family. RJ said all he did was get a line approved that he and Electra pitched. "If he leaves, I don't know what that's going to do to my Dad," Ridge sighed to RJ.

Meanwhile, in the design office, Electra continued to gloat that Dylan was duplicitous. "It is past time that you leave Forrester and never come back," Electra snarked at Dylan. Electra didn't believe Dylan saying she didn't encourage Zende to go to Logan. Electra couldn't believe it since Dylan had betrayed her with Will.

Electra said that Dylan was trying to get on Katie's good side. Then, RJ entered and accused Dylan of trying to get Zende over to Logan. Dylan rolled her eyes.

Electra said that Dylan's actions were a betrayal, and she shouldn't be allowed in the building. RJ said maybe it was best that Dylan go to Logan, especially now that she was hooking up with Will. Then, Zende entered. Electra told Zende that he didn't have to listen to Dylan. Zende informed Electra that Dylan wasn't going anywhere.

RJ wanted to know why Dylan wasn't going anywhere. Zende insisted that Dylan was not getting fired. This was not a conversation he wanted to have. He insisted that Dylan was staying put. "You know what? Let's see what Eric and Ridge have to say about that," Electra snarked.

Ridge came back into the Forrester Creations CEO office. Eric said that he convinced Zende to stay. Ridge was surprised. Eric said that from now on, Zende's decisions matter. There would be no more lip service from him or from Ridge. Then, Dylan, Zende, RJ, and Electra burst into the CEO's office. Electra announced that Dylan was doing Katie's bidding and that she crossed a line. Dylan maintained that that wasn't the case. Electra and RJ said that Dylan couldn't stay. Zende said that RJ and Electra were misrepresenting what happened. Dylan merely relayed a message. She didn't "want" Zende to leave Forrester Creations. Zende said that Dylan didn't do anything to undermine Forrester Creations.

"Be real for a second, Electra," Zende told Electra. She couldn't possibly be impartial, given what went down with Will. "Exactly," Electra countered, pointing out that Dylan has no morals or loyalty. "Keep your love life out of this," Zende said. He announced that he wanted Zende to stay. Ridge said the company doesn't need this kind of talk.

Ridge summed up the situation: Electra and RJ want Dylan to go, and Zende wants her to stay. "Pack your stuff, you're fired," Ridge announced. Electra and RJ were thrilled. Zende readied himself to say something.
