Zende had a change of heart after his uncle Ridge failed to back him on The Bold and the Beautiful. The episode that aired on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, showed the Forrester family falling apart at the seams (no pun intended) as fashion fallout continued at both Forrester Creations and Logan Designs!

“I’m fired?” Dylan tearfully asked. She insisted that she hadn’t betrayed the Forresters. Ridge asked Dylan if she thought he enjoyed doing this. He told her to gather her things, and security would walk her out. Then, Zende interjected and clarified that Dylan had nothing to do with Zende and Logan beyond relaying a message. “I listened to the pitch! Dylan has not uttered a single word against Forrester or this family.

Zende reminded his grandfather, Eric, that he had told him if he were to stay, then Zende would call the shots! “Well, I say, ‘Dylan stays!’” Zende declared. “She’s important to me and this company.”

Electra and RJ wanted Dylan gone. Zende put it on the line – was Eric going to respect his decisions or not? RJ said that Dylan was taking orders from Katie. Electra said that Dylan was trying to ingratiate herself with Will by helping Katie. Zende kept defending Dylan. Eric told Zende not to let Dylan’s future with the company affect his. “You know what I want. Does that matter or not?” Zende asked.

Ridge said that he had to let Dylan go. “There it is,” Zende pointed out, once again, Ridge was siding with his son. Zende announced that if Dylan goes, then so does he!

Zende said that if Forrester Creations was going to create a work environment for him to stay, then Dylan would be a part of it. Ridge said that firing Dylan had nothing to do with Zende. RJ suggested that Dylan quit on her own. Zende said that Dylan had been a good employee. Ridge added that Dylan had been a great employee – until now.

Zende accused Ridge of siding with his son, RJ, the way he sided with his daughter, Steffy, when it came to Hope For The Future being put on hold (for a while). Zende saw the writing on the wall. “If you’re not in line for the throne, you are a nobody,” Zende shouted.

Zende announced that he’d be taking Logan Designs up on its offer. Eric told Zende that he was critical to the success of Forrester Creations. Zende asked Ridge what he thought was going to happen. Zende said that it didn’t matter that his last name was Forrester (his name is Zende Forrester Dominguez, actually). Zende said that he looked up to Ridge and Eric as his mentors. Then, he started to leave and told Dylan to come with him.

Eric begged Zende not to make the same mistake that he did. Zende and Dylan exited. Eric asked what just happened. Ridge responded that Dylan had to go. RJ wasn’t sure why Zende was making a big deal about it. Electra pointed out that Dylan has no loyalty to anyone but herself. “I tried to warn you,” Electra snarked.

RJ was relieved that they didn’t fill Dylan in on the new collection. Eric said that his grandson felt abandoned. Ridge pointed out that Katie was trying to poach from their company. Eric left to try to stop Zende from leaving.

Over at Logan Designs, Katie, Will, Hope, and Deke reflected on Zende’s decision not to leave Forrester. Katie said that they knew that Zende's leaving was a long shot, even though she called his decision a big mistake! Hope noted that while it was hard to leave family, sometimes it’s the better decision. Katie said that at Forrester Creations, loyalty is a one-way street, and Zende was going to find that out the hard way.

Deke asked Hope if she was disappointed. Hope said she was, but mainly for Zende. Deke said that he’d be fine. He wondered about Zende, though. Katie announced that this wasn’t a setback. It was just a change of plans. Will concurred and shared that he showed his mother some recent stats that show that the company is doing fine.

Deke said he was up for making the company proud. Deke added that he wanted to make the line the best it could be. Katie noted that the Forresters have made promises to Zende before, and they haven’t followed through with them.

Hope concurred that Zende could be in for a rude awakening later. Katie pointed out that the four of them have created a fashion house. Katie conceded that Zende would have been a great addition to Logan Designs. Katie lamented that Zende was loyal to a fault.

Hope lamented leaving Forrester as it hurt Zende. Katie focused on Logan Designs. Hope wished that Zende could experience that. Hope said that it broke her heart that Zende wouldn't be a part of it.

The Moment of Truth

In the design office, a furious Zende started packing up his belongings. Dylan tried to calm him down. She told him that she didn’t want him to leave Forrester Creations. Zende yelled that nothing would ever change around there. Zende said he wasn’t going to leave because of Dylan, and he hated that his family was treating Dylan this way.

Zende said it all made sense now as to why Eric left Forrester Creations to go to Logan. Zende said that he couldn’t take the favoritism any longer. Zende and Dylan went out into the hallway. Dylan told him not to go. Eric appeared and told his grandson to listen to Dylan. “Nobody wants you to leave,” Eric stated. He told Zende that he understood and that he wanted him to stay because they needed his skill, talent, and vision. “You have to stay,” Eric said. He pointed out that the next generation of Forrester Creations was Zende, Steffy, Thomas, and RJ. Eric was afraid that the building would crumble at his feet.

Zende didn’t believe Eric’s assertion that Ridge wanted him to stay. “I have learned so much from you about work, about life,” Zende said, “my admiration for you is never going to change, but this doesn’t feel like the place for me anymore. I’m going to miss you, granddad.”

Eric and Zende hugged goodbye. Eric said he loved his grandson. Zende began to cry. “I love you, too,” he said. “I’ve got to do this.” Zende left, and then Dylan slowly followed after him. Eric was distraught to lose his grandson.
