B&B Recap October 16: Steffy Takes a Pregnant Pause With Finn

There was a fashion showdown of a different kind on The Bold and the Beautiful today! The Friday, October 16, 2026, episode had Steffy start to share with Finn that she was pregnant with Carter’s baby. Meanwhile, Katie and Brooke continued their showdown at Logan Designs.

Fly Away Home

Steffy fretted that Finn was on his way home. She knew she had to tell him the lie about her pregnancy, but how to do it? She flashed back to the events of the last few months, including yelling at Finn in Monaco, connecting with Carter, finding out she was pregnant, and Finn advising her against being a surrogate. Steffy wondered how she could lie to her husband.

Finn walked into the house and kissed Steffy. He told her that he missed her. Finn wanted to hold Steffy in his arms. They hugged. Steffy told Finn that the kids, Kelly and Hayes, weren’t there right now. Finn wondered if he should go first or if Steffy should in terms of catching up with each other. Finn asked how his wife was. He kissed her.

Later, Finn gave Steffy an update on some new medical procedures. He realized he was losing her as she looked distracted. Finn asked Steffy what was going on. What did he miss while he was away? Was everything okay? Steffy said that she hoped so.

Finn told his wife that she was starting to worry him. Steffy said they value honesty in their marriage, even if it’s hard to hear or accept. “This is one of those times,” Steffy said. She added that she’d done something, and she prayed that Finn could forgive her.

Steffy asked Finn if he knew how much she loved him. Steffy said that their life together was everything. She never wanted to hurt him. Finn told Steffy that she couldn't hurt him. "I hope you're right," Steffy said.

Carter Keeps Mum About Steffy

At Forrester Creations, Carter tried to focus on work, but he couldn’t. He, too, flashed back to the lies that he and Steffy continue to create. Then, Daphne Rose entered and asked what was wrong. Daphne asked Carter if he was upset about losing Zende to Logan. Carter said things wouldn’t be the same without him. Carter said that some mistakes can’t be undone. Daphne Rose hoped that Finn felt good about Steffy’s decision to be the surrogate and egg donor.

Daphne said that Steffy would be hitting Finn with a lot when she told him about the surrogacy. Daphne said she felt good about their chances that the procedure with Steffy had worked. Carter was convinced that it had.

Daphne said that it would be a huge shock for Finn once he learned that Steffy did what she did. Carter said Steffy is helping them have a family, and Finn should focus on that. Carter said that Steffy couldn’t have gotten into it over the phone with Finn. He pointed out that Steffy talked to Finn about the idea before he left.

Carter said that it will sink in with Finn what a wonderful thing that Steffy was doing. Daphne Rose wondered how Finn would react. Daphne Rose said it was unlike Steffy not to share everything with her husband. Carter said that Steffy and Finn had a strong marriage. Her being their surrogate and egg donor would not change that. Carter assured his wife that everything would work out and that Steffy would have the baby and they’d bring him or her home. Carter commented on the love that Daphne Rose would give their baby.

Carter told his wife that she'd be the most doting mother in the universe. Daphne Rose said this was all because of Steffy, but she didn't want to interfere in Finn and Steffy's marriage.

Brooke V. Katie

At Logan Designs, Brooke wondered how Katie could continue to act the way she was because it was affecting their relationship. “What relationship?” Katie marveled. “You kicked me out of the family. To you, I’m the enemy.” Brooke said that they need to end their hostilities before they tear them apart forever.

Katie told Brooke that she couldn’t have it both ways. She couldn’t kick her out of the family and then try to say they have a relationship. Brooke said that Katie never should have been made the offer that she did. “Who are you?” Brooke marveled at Katie.

Katie told Brooke that she was sorry that she felt that way. She offered Zende a job just like she did with Eric and Hope. Brooke said that Katie took advantage of Eric. Katie said for the love of God, she did NOT steal Hope! Brooke said that Katie and Bill had Liam and Hope move in with them, and that hurt.

Katie quipped that Forrester was a delicate little flower that couldn’t handle some competition from her startup. Katie pointed out that Eric, Hope, and Zende all came to her because they felt cast off. Brooke said that this had nothing to do with business. She said that Forrester was in a tailspin. Brooke pointed out that they’d always been able to work through things in the past. She wanted to know what was going on.

Brooke said that the fighting between her and Katie made her sick. Brooke brought up Beth and Storm. Katie said that she was so done with Brooke using their dead mother and their dead brother to shame her. Katie said that Storm would be proud of her and that he would be so disgusted that Brooke was making this all about her. She had no pride in her daughter, Hope, or her sister, Katie.

Katie said that she was taking control of her life. “I am in the game, Brooke, and I am winning,” Katie said. Brooke accused her sister of creating division. She said this would not make her happy. Brooke asked to put all of this aside. Brooke went to hug Katie, but Katie asked her what she was doing. Katie reminded Brooke of what Donna had said, which was, “You can’t just hug it out.” Katie told Brooke that it was time for her to go. Brooke exited, leaving behind Katie, who was very upset.
