Brooke: B&B Recap October 19: Finn Actually Gets Furious With Steffy

Steffy dropped some big news on Finn today on The Bold and the Beautiful. The episode that aired on Monday, October 19, 2026, was jam-packed with tension as Steffy tried to get Finn to believe a lie, Brooke made a daring phone call that could make things worse, and Carter held his breath while Daphne speculated that Finn was learning the “truth.”

Steffy Tells Finn That the Rabbit Died

Steffy readied herself to tell Finn that she was pregnant with Carter’s baby, and lie that it was done through a medical procedure. Finn recounted how he blew it by not telling Steffy about Sheila. He remembered her body was trembling. Steffy said that she wanted to get away from Sheila, and not Finn. He said he should have been honest with her. Finn wanted the magical reunion moment at the church unmarred by Sheila’s name. Finn said that Steffy had no idea how important his relationship with her was. Steffy winced in pain.

Finn told Steffy that their marriage was based on integrity and commitment. “That’s rare these days,” the doctor added. Finn said that neither of their parents had been committed to each other in the long run. Finn sensed something was weighing on Steffy. She could tell him anything. Finn assured Steffy that Sheila was out of their lives. “You will never feel let down by me ever again,” Finn said.

A tearful Steffy said that she wished she’d never taken off her wedding rings. She wished she could take back everything, but she couldn’t. Finn told Steffy that she didn’t need to hide anything. There was nothing that they couldn’t overcome. “I made a decision,” Steffy said. “A significant decision, to help a friend.”

Steffy said that she wanted to help Daphne. Steffy reminded Finn that Daphne Rose came to Los Angeles when she needed help. Finn said that he knew that Steffy wanted to volunteer to be the surrogate, but he advised against it. Finn asked if Daphne Rose and Carter had already found someone. Steffy said that they had found someone. “It’s me, Finn. It’s me,” Steffy announced. “I agreed to be Daphne and Carter’s surrogate.”

Finn backed away from Steffy. He was incredulous that Steffy said she’d be the surrogate. Finn said that he was glad that he was home in time to talk her out of this. Steffy said that there wasn’t any time remaining. Finn rattled off a list of things that would have to happen to bring the baby into the world, which included having to give the baby away. Finn felt that there was no way that Steffy could give up a baby that she carried. He pointed out that there’d be a big impact on their family and her work. “Why make it harder on yourself?” Finn asked. He told her to tell Carter and Daphne that she had to pass. Finn said they’d find someone who was experienced, young, and committed.

Steffy said that she was the surrogate. “While you were away, we went ahead with the procedure,” Steffy said. She added that the fertilization of the egg was completed. “We used my frozen eggs,” Steffy said. “And they’ve been implanted?” an incredulous Finn stated.

Finn said that they’d discussed this before he left for his medical conference. “I can’t believe that you went and did that,” Finn shouted. “This isn’t something that a wife does alone when her husband is out of town on a business trip. Steffy? What did you do?”

Finn couldn’t believe that Steffy did this on a whim. “There’s more going on here,” Finn said. “What is it? Steffy, tell me!”

Brooke’s Battleplan

At Forrester Creations, Brooke entered, upset from her encounter with Katie on Friday’s show. Carter left, leaving Brooke alone with Ridge. Brooke said that Katie doesn’t care what her actions do to the family. Ridge blamed Bill. Brooke said it was all Katie. “She doesn’t care at all,” Brooke said about her sister. She added that Katie is enjoying sticking it to Forrester Creations.

Brooke said that talking to Katie was like talking to a stranger or, worse yet, an enemy. Brooke added that Katie was acting like she was spiteful. Brooke recounted Katie “stealing” her name, “Logan,” for her company. Brooke wondered how this all happened. How did she and Katie get to where they are now?

Brooke said that Katie was lashing out as if she had a vendetta. First, Brooke said, Katie took her name, then Eric, then Hope, and then Zende. “I never thought it would end like this,” Brooke said. She announced that this betrayal had to stop. Ridge got a text and left to deal with something. He promised they’d figure this out. Brooke started to compose a text.

Carter’s Concerned

Carter entered the design room. Daphne was glad that he was there. She needed his help to come up with a fragrance that Ridge asked her to devise. Daphne said Ridge wanted something that would represent “optimistic, youthful ambition.” Carter was distracted, and Daphne knew why. She said Finn could be finding out right now that Steffy is their surrogate and egg donor.

Carter was on edge as Daphne talked about Finn taking the news well. She hoped that Steffy did not regret her decision. Daphne wondered if Ridge could help them. Carter advised against telling Ridge, as he shouldn’t know anything just yet. Carter appeared uneasy. He realized what could be happening at Steffy and Finn's if Steffy was telling Finn about the pregnancy.

Brill, Revisited

At Brooke and Ridge’s home, Brooke recalled Ridge saying that they’d do whatever it took. Then, Brooke answered a knock at the door. “Thank you for coming. I need your help with Katie,” Brooke told her visitor. It was Bill!
