Steffy: B&B Recap October 20: Brooke Begs Bill to Tame Katie

Finn had to wrap his head around a lot in today's The Bold and the Beautiful episode. The recap for the show that aired on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, had Finn processing Steffy's lie. Meanwhile, Katie confided in Wyatt while Brooke sought to make Bill an ally in her quest to make amends with her sister.

Finn’s Incredulous Reaction

Steffy and Finn picked up their conversation directly from the end of yesterday’s episode. He was incredulous that she had undergone the procedure that had resulted in her being pregnant with Carter’s baby. Finn couldn’t believe that Steffy would make such a big decision while he was away. He felt this wasn’t like her at all. Steffy feared that it would come out that Finn would learn that she and Carter had slept together. Then, Finn told his wife, “I know what happened.”

Finn said that Steffy got pregnant while she was out of town. Finn recapped Steffy getting mad at him over Sheila being in Monaco and how she took her rings off. Finn said that he deserved to know the truth.

Steffy said that leaving Monaco without her ring made her feel lost. She told Finn that he didn’t need to apologize. Finn asked his wife why she wanted to have a baby that wasn’t theirs. Steffy maintained that she wanted to do this for Carter and Daphne Rose. An irate Finn asked why his wife didn’t consult him. Steffy said that she was sorry. Steffy said that she was committed to doing this and that she couldn’t explain it. She believed it was the right decision for everyone. Finn wondered if this was the right call for him, Kelly, and Hayes. “This is weird,” Finn said.

Then, Finn got a text from the hospital. He had to leave. “My head is spinning,” Finn said. He left for the hospital. Steffy was overcome with emotion.

Mother-in-Law Madness

At the hospital, Li told her son, Finn, that she was glad he could attend the medical conference. Li asked Finn what was going on. “Steffy did something,” Finn said.

Li probed to find out what Finn was talking about, but he pulled back. Finn decided to tell his mother the truth. Finn said that while he was away at the medical conference, Steffy went ahead and became Daphne and Carter’s surrogate. Li was stunned.

Carter’s Hoping for the Best

Meanwhile, at Forrester Creations, Carter recalled Steffy telling him privately that their plan would never work. Outside the CEO's office, Del, a Forrester maintenance worker, gave a glass window a good cleaning. Inside the office, Carter received a text from Daphne Rose that made him smile.

Steffy showed up and told Carter that she had told Finn that she was pregnant with his child. She added that Finn doesn’t know their secret, but that their secret was killing her.

Carter pointed out to Steffy that they thought that their marriages were over. Steffy said that she had to tell Finn lie after lie to cover up what had really happened. Carter shared that this was killing both of them, but that they had to stick to their plan. Carter shared that Daphne is ecstatic to become a mother. It’s all she can think about. Carter said that this wasn’t who he was, either; however, they couldn’t turn back now. He asked her to promise him to keep moving forward with their plan.

Wyatt Weighs In

Over at Logan Designs, Wyatt told Katie that he heard about Zende’s new office. Katie wondered playfully if Wyatt was jealous. Wyatt assured Katie that he was not. Wyatt congratulated Katie for getting Zende on board. She wishes that everyone were as happy as she was. Katie noted that Brooke was not happy.

Katie said that Brooke went nuts over Zende. Wyatt called the exits at Forrester Creations a “mass exodus.” Katie said that Brooke has accused her of seeking revenge. Wyatt simply asked if Brooke was right.

Wyatt told Katie that what she’d accomplished with Logan Designs was almost unheard of. Katie was flattered that Wyatt praised her. Katie said that she wanted to make her husband and son proud of her. Plus, she wanted to prove to Brooke and everyone else that she is second to no one. Katie referenced Brooke’s affair with Bill.

Katie stated that she had appeased Brooke for years. That was over. She was done staying in her lane. Katie said she relished beating Brooke Forrester. Katie pointed out that Brooke stole her husband.

Making Sense With Dollar Bill

At Brooke and Ridge’s house, Brooke welcomed Bill into her home. Brooke shared that there has been tension between their families. Bill wrote it off as friendly competition. Brooke said that Katie has gone too far. Bill wondered if Brooke was referring to Zende joining Logan Designs.

Brooke accused her sister of acting like a vindictive teenager. Brooke said she doesn’t want Katie’s actions to hurt the Forrester family. Bill maintained that Katie hates fighting with her sister. Brooke said that she didn’t want it either. Brooke said that this all needed to stop. Brooke said that she had a responsibility to Eric and Stephanie’s company. She wanted to keep Forrester Creations alive. Bill pointed out that he’d made a big investment in Logan Designs. Brooke said that this was about how Katie had handled things. Brooke said that Katie needs to change what she’s doing because she was tearing apart the family and Forrester Creations.

Bill admitted that part of him was worried about Katie, even though he’s proud of what she’s become. Brooke was relieved to hear Bill say that Katie might want to lighten up on Brooke.
