recaps: B&B Recap October 26: Skeptical Finn Accepts Hysterical Steffy's Decision

Much to Steffy's relief, Finn started to wrap his head around her being Carter and Daphne Rose's surrogate and egg donor on The Bold and the Beautiful. The recap for the episode that aired on Monday, October 26, 2026, also had Bill trying to calm down a suspicious Katie, while Donna acted as Brooke's sounding board!

The Baby Is Settling Down

Daphne was thrilled that the baby had a heartbeat. Finn asked if there was anything that he could answer, as his mother, Li, had left the room. Daphne was over the moon. She didn’t think that a baby’s heartbeat could be heard this soon. “We’re having a baby,” Daphne Rose said. She thanked Steffy for bringing Joy to Carter and her.

At Forrester Creations, Daphne and Carter celebrated the day they found out they were becoming parents. The couple embraced. Daphne said that they heard their baby’s heartbeat! Carter asked Daphne Rose to never forget that this was their baby. “I’m over the moon!” Daphne said to Carter.

The Forrester COO said that Finn was moved after he saw how much being a mom meant to Daphne Rose. Carter prayed that no one would be upset after today as they all moved forward. Daphne Rose told Carter that he was going to be a father. He said he was going to be the best father that he could be. Carter added that he was looking forward to sharing this journey with his wife.

Daphne Rose said Carter and Steffy will give the baby life, but that Daphne Rose and Carter will give the baby a family. “You and Steffy made this baby,” Daphne Rose said. “And I get to be a mom, finally.” Carter kissed his wife’s hands.

Meanwhile, Steffy and Finn arrived home. Finn said that he was trying to process everything. He never thought he’d come home and learn his wife was pregnant by another man (Carter). Finn noted that Carter’s baby was inside his wife. Steffy apologized. Finn said that he didn’t want an apology. He wanted to know what had happened. She said she never intended to hurt her husband. Finn commented that he was starting to see how Steffy could get caught up in this after he witnessed how happy Daphne Rose was. “I get it,” Finn acknowledged.

Steffy couldn’t believe that Finn was starting to get it. Finn cautioned that it wasn’t easy. He wondered how they’d explain this to Kelly and Hayes and her family. Steffy said that they would do it together. She valued their marriage, and her being an egg donor and surrogate had nothing to do with him. Finn said that he had committed to Steffy and their baby.

Finn said that there’d be challenging times ahead. Steffy wondered if something good could come out of this. Finn said that he saw the significance in the gift Steffy was giving them. Finn added that he didn’t always comprehend Steffy’s decisions, but he did trust her. Steffy started to cry. Finn asked what was wrong. Steffy composed herself and said you have more faith in me than I have in myself. Steffy called Finn a remarkable man.

“I love you so much,” Steffy told her husband. She said that she could do it, referring to carrying Carter's baby and giving it to him and Daphne Rose. Steffy added that they could do it. “I will care for this child,” she said. “And then I’ll give the baby up…and everything will go back to normal. This baby’s future is with Daphne and Carter. Mine is with you.” Steffy noted that this was a short chapter in her and Finn’s love story. They embraced.

Katie Gets Down to Business

Katie asked her husband if he was “Bill Spencer Lite,” as he was championing a peace treaty between Katie and Brooke. Bill suggested to her that she put her family first. Katie fired back that she was going to make Logan the most successful fashion house in the world. She didn’t care if she had to crawl over Forrester to get it done. Katie reminded Bill that she didn’t cut Brooke out of her life. It was, in fact, the other way around. Bill admired Katie’s drive. He shared it. “Okay!” Katie shouted.

Then, Zende entered. Bill welcomed him on board. Bill left after he asked Katie to think about what he said. Zende and Katie sat down to go over business. Katie shared with Zende that Hope reported to her that he was acclimating. Zende said that Deke was amazing and that he felt familiar working with Hope. “You made the right choice, Zende,” Katie said. She looked forward to announcing his joining Logan, but that Brooke would probably accuse her of poaching another Forrester.

Katie told Zende that he could have whatever he needed. He said it felt great to have such wonderful support. Katie was happy Zende joined Logan Designs, but she wasn’t sure that Brooke would feel that way.

Brooke, Donna, and Bill

Brooke told Donna that as the middle sister, she was the peacemaker. Brooke said that since she couldn’t get through to Katie, she reached out to someone who would – Bill. Donna pointed out that Katie knows Bill, and she’ll sense if he’s acting out of character.

Donna started to leave when Brooke was busy taking care of texts. Brooke asked her to stay. Then, Bill walked in. Brooke said that Donna knew that they had talked about Katie. Bill quipped that he didn’t want to make this a group project. Donna took that as a hint to go. “Careful,” Donna said as she walked out the door. Brooke wanted to know what Katie had to say. Bill said that it was going to take some time to get through to Katie – if it happens at all.

Bill told Brooke that he suggested to Katie that they dial things back a bit, regarding Logan Designs attacking Forrester Creations. Brooke asked how that went. “Sub-optimal,” Bill lamented. “Katie was, of course, surprised.” That’s because Katie knew that Bill liked to bring enemies to their knees.

In turn, Bill said to Katie that he knew from her that family was important. Brooke asked Bill if Katie listened to her. Bill said that he got a lot of pushback. Katie added that Bill and Will were her family and that she was a Spencer. “I did say that to her,” Brooke lamented.

Bill said that he can’t blame Katie, but he’s concerned about the toll that this discord could take on her, so he will keep trying. Brooke thanked Bill for his help in getting Katie to back away from hurting Forrester Creations.
