B&B Recap October 28: Dylan Stands Her Ground, Darcy Sets Her Sights on Wyatt

On the Wednesday, October 28, 2026, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Dylan told Katie to take that job and shove it; Zende panicked, Brooke lamented, and Darcy met Wyatt.

Dylan Fights Back

Dylan met with Katie in her office and was blunt. She knew Katie still didn't like her, but Dylan needed a job. "We both know Will wants you to give me a job. But that's your call. Is that what you want, Mrs. Spencer?" Dylan asked.

Katie remained cagey and told Dylan that today was the day they would announce to the world that Zende had jumped ship to Logan. "So thank you," Katie said, but she still didn't trust Dylan. "I know what you're up to, Melissa."

Dylan tried to keep her cool as Katie called her a Midwest version of Brooke without any evidence that Dylan was anything like Brooke at all. Dylan didn't seem bothered by Katie's comparison. After all, Brooke Logan was a fashion industry icon. Katie pointed out that her sister had slept her way to the top.

Dylan showed her self-respect when she flat-out told Katie that she didn't want to work there. "I don't want to work with you. Not like this," Dylan said. Katie showed her paranoia when she told Dylan, "Well played." She assumed that Dylan was just trying to manipulate her and play devil's advocate.

Dylan had had enough and stood up to Katie, telling her that Katie should get to know her before passing harsh judgment. Katie still continued to call Dylan a gold digger. Dylan said she refused to take money from Will and she hoped that Katie would one day see her for who she really is and not just make false assumptions. "I'm worthy," Dylan asserted.

The Logan Announcement

Zende and Will caught up in the showroom as they got ready for a big announcement. Zende was clearly nervous, but Will looked forward to the day. "This is going to create shockwaves in the fashion world, especially in the halls of Forrester," Zende said.

Zende knew that he was causing his grandfather pain and hated the idea, but he had to do what was right for him. Zende hated Katie's headlines and felt they were only doing more damage. Zende felt that Katie was lashing out at Brooke more than anything else.

As Zende continued to panic, all Will could think about was what must have been going on upstairs between his mother and Dylan. He felt that Katie owed Dylan a job after she had spoken to Zende and gotten fired for her efforts.

In Eric's office, Brooke lamented Logan's big announcement. She felt attacked. What was Katie doing this to her? Brooke said she had an inside source at Logan, but Eric thought that Brooke meant Hope and not Bill.

Eric was still hurt over Zende's departure, and the hurt just grew worse as they read the announcement about Zende. Eric blamed Bill for the terrible headlines, but Brooke defended him and said this was all Katie's doing. Brooke wondered if there was any hope for Forrester's future. Eric wondered the same.

At the Beach House

Away from the fashion wars, Wyatt surprised Darcy when he saw her lounging on the deck of the beach house. Darcy immediately knew that this was Wyatt Spencer and introduced herself as Dylan's mom, Darcy. Wyatt rolled out on that old line about Darcy looking like Dylan's sister. "Charmer," Darcy giggled.

Wyatt decided to stay for a while and get to know Darcy, so she made some margaritas and they sat down for a chat. They wondered if Katie would hire Dylan, but Wyatt warned Darcy not to get her hopes up. Wyatt remarked how odd it was that Darcy was there, so she said that a beach house in Malibu was nicer than an apartment.

When Darcy told Wyatt that Dylan knew she was there, Wyatt made a point of reminding her that this was Will's house. He also turned down Darcy's offer to take a little dip. When Darcy mentioned Wyatt finding the Hope For The Future Diamond, Wyatt noted that Darcy was much different than Dylan.
