B&B Recap October 29: Katie Discovers Brooke and Bill's Revealing Texts

On the Thursday, October 29, 2026, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke complained, Dylan stood her ground some more, and Katie made a stunning discovery.

At Forrester Creations, Brooke sent a text to her spy on the inside, lamenting the state of Katie's press. Those headlines about Zende just kept getting more outrageous. Bill needed to do something about this. Bill promised Brooke that he'd have another talk with Katie about dialing things back a bit.

"So grateful I can always count on you, Bill," Brooke said, pouring on the charm. Brooke even left a red heart emoji, so Bill got frisky and texted her a stallion. (Why would they do something so dumb?)

Ridge walked into Eric's office, just as upset as Brooke about this whole Zende mess. Brooke agreed that her sister was completely out of control and needed to be reigned in right away. But Brooke was also emotional. Despite being the one to kick Katie out of the family, Brooke was sad because she missed her sister. Maybe she should have thought of that before she abused Katie and told her that she wasn't entitled to her own last name.

Brooke swore she would do whatever was necessary to get through to Katie. When Ridge left the office, she texted Bill again.

Dylan's Pride

At Katie's office, Dylan once again told Katie that she doesn't need or want her job. She's not sorry for following her heart. Katie warns her that when someone follows their heart, someone always gets hurt in the end.

Back at the beach house, Will was surprised to find Darcy milling about. She explained that she had brought over clothing for Dylan's interview with his mother. Darcy asked how it had gone, but Will didn't know yet. He was just as anxious as Darcy.

When Dylan finally walked in, she told them all about standing up for herself, but she still needed a job. She wasn't worried and assured Will and her mother that she would be fine, but Darcy was appalled that Katie was still treating her daughter this way. Darcy assured Dylan they'd find a way to pay the bills together, telling Dylan that she was extraordinary.

After Darcy left, Will expressed how angry he was at his mother. But Dylan said she had told Katie to take her job and shove it. That made Will love Dylan even more.

When Bill walked into Katie's office, she wanted to break out the champagne and celebrate her great press. Bill placed his phone on her desk as Katie gushed about their announcement going viral. When Bill asked Katie if she had heard from either of her sisters, she told him no, but Bill was relentless. Katie just wanted to have sex, but Bill had more questions.

Bill was acting strange, telling Katie that her headlines were awfully personal. Katie blamed the reporters and not herself. She didn't care if Brooke was offended. Katie was not about to let Brooke's hurt feelings stop her from doing what she needed to do. She was going to have the best fashion house in the world and was done living in Brooke's shadow.

"Maybe she should get used to standing in mine," Katie said.

Bill tried to get Katie to see she needed to rise above and not make this all so personal. Katie couldn't believe that she was hearing this coming from Bill of all people. Bill fought for her at this fashion house and gave her a chance. She knew Brooke was seething with jealousy and resentment.

Suddenly, a text came in for Bill. Katie heard it and picked up Bill's phone. She saw it was from Brooke and knew exactly what was going on. Bill told Katie it was not the way it looked, but Katie was absolutely furious.

"So, this… this is why you’re suddenly so concerned about my relationship with my sisters. This is why you want me to go easy on Forrester. Because of her! Because of Brooke!!" she exclaimed, as Bill stood there silently.
