The Bold and the Beautiful: B&B Recap September 1: Daphne Rose Tries to Get Steffy and Carter to Open Up

Here's your recap for The Bold and the Beautiful episode that aired on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, as Daphne caught Carter and Steffy alone, Finn lamented how he handled Sheila in Monaco, and Electra blasted duplicitous Dylan!

Directly picking up from yesterday's episode, Daphne Rose asked Carter and Steffy why the door was locked. What's going on? Daphne added that she knew why Steffy was upset. It was because of Sheila and Monaco. Daphne said that she was there for Steffy, but Daphne was oblivious to Steffy and Carter's tryst.

Daphne told Steffy that she could rely on both her and Carter. She added that Steffy was her best friend in Los Angeles. Daphne Rose said that sometimes the best thing you can do is decide to be happy.

Daphne confided in Steffy that she, too, gave her wedding rings back on that one terrible night she wanted to end her marriage. She was grateful nothing happened to her marriage, adding that Carter was the love of her life. "And you're his," Steffy told Daphne Rose.

Daphne Rose kissed her husband, stating that nothing or no one would ever come between them. Carter and Steffy exchanged a powerful look. Daphne told Carter that they were meant to be parents. Then, she turned to Steffy and expressed her gratitude to her. Daphne Rose said that she was there for Steffy -- whatever she needed. She added that when she and Carter do have a baby, Steffy would be there to celebrate with them. Daphne Rose hugged Steffy. Carter and Steffy shared another look, unseen by Daphne.

Finn told Li that he and Steffy went through a dark ordeal in Monaco. Li recounted that Steffy was so mad she threw her wedding rings at Finn! He shared with his mother that he believed that he and Steffy were committed to moving forward.

Li told Finn that he kept Sheila's presence in Monaco and on the plane a secret for the right reasons. Finn said there was never a reason to lie. He feared he had lost his wife forever. Li noted that Steffy spied Sheila by her eight toes. Finn said not telling Steffy about Sheila undermined every promise that he ever made. He noted that the long flight back to Los Angeles and coming home alone, feeling like there was no one there to support her, must have made her feel very vulnerable.

Finn told Li that he let Steffy down by telling her that Sheila had changed and might be able to be in their lives. Li said it's a wonder things didn't end in a catastrophe. Finn was beyond grateful that nothing happened to damage his marriage to Steffy because of his decisions over Sheila.

Showdown in the Showroom

In the showroom, Dylan and Tina lamented that Will didn't work there anymore, as he was always one to get the gang together for a fun time. Then, Electra entered. Dina left for the design office, greeting Electra in a cool manner as she left.

Dylan tried to be nice, but Electra suggested that Dylan work on her poker face. Electra asked how her best friend could do this to her! Dylan pointed out that Electra and Will had broken up when she and Will made love. Dylan did want to repair her friendship with Electra. "I love him, too," Dylan said. "Don't I deserve a chance to be happy, too?"

"With Will?" Electra snarked. Dylan said she wanted to be happy with her friend (Electra), too! Dylan said that she respected Electra and Will's relationship. She even withheld her feelings for Will. Dylan recounted living in her car and how she had hit rock bottom. Dylan added that she never wanted to overstay her welcome by being Will and Electra's houseguest.

Electra didn't want to hear it. She added that nobody wanted to see Dylan homeless, but that didn't mean Electra wanted to see her with Will either. Electra said her and Dylan's friendship was over and that she felt conned.

"You ask me to forgive you? I won't. I am never going to do that again," Electra vowed. "And we will never be friends."

Carter locked the door (after Daphne Rose had left). Both Carter and Steffy felt that they dodged a bullet with Daphne Rose just then. Steff wondered how she could continue this way. Carter said that they need to keep perspective. "We cheated," Steffy lamented.

Carter maintained that they both thought their respective marriages were over. Steffy fretted that both Finn and Daphne Rose could see her pain, but it's really just her trying to hide the truth. Steffy said lying to Finn and Daphne Rose is one of the hardest things she's ever done. Carter said if anyone found out, their marriages would be over.

Plus, Carter pointed out to Steffy that he would lose his friendship with Ridge if he learned about Carter and his daughter. Steffy says that the secret is killing her, and the secret will poison every future happy moment. She wished that they could do it all over again. "This shouldn't have happened," Steffy said.
