The Bold and the Beautiful: B&B Recap September 14: Steffy Tells Carter That the Baby She's Carrying Is His

Steffy loves being a mom, but her most recent pregnancy news has put a spin on an otherwise blessed event on The Bold and the Beautiful. On the Monday, September 14, 2026, episode, Finn's wife informed Carter that he -- not Finn -- was the father of her unborn child. Meanwhile, Daphne Rose was oblivious to her husband's betrayal.

Carter, You ARE the Father

In Eric’s office, Carter asked Steffy to confirm that she’s indeed pregnant. “Yes,” she grimly responded. Steffy clarified that the baby wasn’t Finn’s – it was Carter’s! Steffy said that she was sure that the baby was Carter’s.

Steffy said that there was zero chance that this baby was Finn’s, as he’d been working so much at the hospital. Carter said that they needed to keep it together. Steffy said that she needed to tell her husband. Steffy wondered if her marriage would survive this. She feared Finn would hate her.

“I betrayed him,” she said. Steffy added that it was no excuse that she was numbing her pain over what happened in Monaco. Carter said that Daphne will end their marriage. Steffy said Daphne would despise her. Carter added that Ridge would never forgive him for this. Steffy lamented not being honest with Finn from the start. “I need to be honest with my husband – today,” Steffy realized.

Doctor's Conference

In Finn’s office, he looked at a photo of him and Steffy. He recalled meeting Steffy outside their church in Monaco on their most recent trip. In that flashback, Steffy referenced their first reunion outside the church after she thought that he was dead.

Finn’s memory was interrupted by Li. He told his mom how blessed he was to have a wife like Steffy. Li and Finn recapped the mayhem in Monaco. Li pointed out that Steffy can’t be blamed for wanting Sheila out of her life. Finn noted he could have lost his marriage because of what had happened in Monaco.

Later, Finn wrapped up a phone call as he told a colleague that he was passing on devoting time to a research project, as his family was coming first these days. Finn recalled Daphne admiring the devotion that Finn and Steffy had. Li felt bad that Carter and Daphne Rose couldn’t have a baby the traditional way, but was hopeful that they’d still have a child.

In the Forrester design room, Ridge and Daphne Rose chatted while working. Daphne said that she was more committed to the perfume line. Ridge said that he believed with all his heart that Carter and Daphne Rose would have a kid someday.

Daphne was glad that Carter had his best friend (Ridge) to speak to about his concerns. Ridge pointed out that Daphne could talk to her bestie – Steffy. Ridge noted that Finn screwed up in Monaco.

Daphne confirmed to Ridge that her family hasn’t met Carter, but they’ll love him once they do. She said that she couldn’t imagine a life without Carter. Ridge believed that Daphne Rose and Carter would have a long life together. He added that Carter would do everything in his power to make a family happen for him and his wife.

Then, Carter entered. Ridge volunteered to give Carter some "dad tips" anytime once he became one. Carter asked if he could have a moment alone with his wife. Ridge left. Daphne Rose commented on Ridge’s positive attitude. She believed that her and Carter's child was coming. Daphne Rose hugged her husband, unaware that he was expecting a baby with Steffy.

Steffy arrived home. She was freaking out over being pregnant. “I pray Finn understands. Please God,” Steffy said. Then, Finn arrived. He said that he’d gotten Steffy’s text. He wondered if Sheila had shown up, and that was the reason for Steffy’s text. Steffy said no, that wasn’t it.

Finn kept apologizing to Steffy for what happened in Monaco. He asked Steffy to tell him that she knew he was committed to her and their family. She said she knew and that she loved that about him.

Finn assured Steffy that they were in this together. A crying Steffy said that all she’d ever wanted was for Finn not to stop loving her. “I will love you forever,” Steffy promised her husband. She added that they’ve been tested so many times. Steffy said that there was something Finn needed to know.
