Katie: B&B Recap September 25: Will Accuses Katie of Being Stephanie Forrester

Stephanie Forrester has gone to that great soap opera in the sky, but Will Spencer sees her alive and well in his mother, Katie, on The Bold and the Beautiful. The recap for the episode that aired on Friday, September 25, 2026, had Will bringing up the late matriarch's name. Also, Zende felt down at work while Darcy gave Dylan a pep talk.

Darcy Supports Dylan

At Dylan’s apartment, Darcy told Dylan it was a great sign that Will wanted to show her where he worked. Darcy couldn’t believe that after years of reading about people like the Spencers, her daughter was dating one.

Darcy told Dylan that she didn’t need Katie’s approval as much as she might think. Dylan said that it would be easier if Katie saw the woman that Will did. Darcy thinks that will happen in time. She pointed out that folks like Katie don’t admit when they’re wrong. Darcy said that it’s Katie’s problem if she does the slow walk to the inevitable.

Dylan showed an outfit to Darcy that she wanted to wear to visit Will at work. Darcy said it was great – for a funeral. She joked that Dylan should show up in one of Will’s t-shirts to point out where she stayed last night. Darcy said that she was kidding – mostly. She asked Dylan how last night was with Will. Dylan believed Will was starting to move on from Electra.

Darcy speculated that Dylan could meet Bill Spencer! She added that Katie would be very welcoming. Dylan wondered how Katie would treat her if they ran into each other.

Dylan said family acceptance was important to her. She added it hurt that people question her motives. Darcy said that anyone who thought that her daughter would take advantage of something was wrong. Then, Dylan got a text not from Will but from Deacon asking about her availability for work at Bikini. Dylan quipped that she would not be using Darcy’s suggestion to tell Deacon that she (Darcy) was very available.

Darcy told Dylan that she’d have an amazing time during her visit to Logan. Darcy sat next to Dylan and told her that she’d never met anyone as selfless and empathetic as her daughter is. The fact that Dylan is concerned about Katie’s feelings proves that it’s just a matter of time before Katie Spencer sees what everyone else sees in Dylan. Darcy hugged her daughter.

Will Called Katie “Stephanie”

At Logan Designs, Katie implored Will to understand that she had his best interests at heart. She felt that Dylan was not her son’s romantic match. Will seemed amused by his mom’s stance. Katie admitted that she didn’t grow up with wealth. She conceded that people would look at her and say that she married into money, but Katie added that what she had grown up with were values.

Katie added that the family had values and morals, but Brooke threw all that away. She decided to throw it all away when she decided to go for what she wanted, whether it was Ridge or other men, some of whom were married.

Will absorbed what his mother was saying. Katie said that she saw that same ambition in Dylan. “That’s why she’s not Spencer quality, and never will be,” Katie stated.

Will said that Dylan wasn’t Brooke. Katie asked Will if he said he loved Dylan back to her (as she had said to him). “I want her,” Will said. Katie countered that Dylan was a distraction till Will got over Electra. Will made a deal with his mother. If she were going to call Dylan “Brooke,” then he was going to call Katie “Stephanie” – because she was acting a lot like Stephanie Forrester, the late controlling matriarch. (Snap!)

Will’s snark backfired because Katie said she’d happily accept comparisons to the late Forrester matriarch, as she happened to be right about Brooke. After all, Brooke stole Eric. Katie said that she fiercely protected Ridge from Brooke, and Katie will fiercely protect Will from Melissa Dylan.

Katie didn’t say that Electra was good for her son. Will said that he apologized to Electra even though it was just business. Will said that he was tired of Electra choosing the Forresters over him. He asked his mom to give Electra a chance.

Will asked his mother to give Dylan some slack. “Honey, don’t be naïve,” Katie told Will. She added that she hoped that Will was using some protection, as the last thing he needed was to be trapped with a pregnancy. Will said that Dylan reminded Katie of Brooke; Katie admitted that yes, she saw Dylan in Brooke. Will said deep down, Katie loves Brooke. Katie said that people like Dylan and Brooke will use their sexuality to get what they want as long as they’re following their hearts. Katie said Dylan will use her sexuality to win Will over.

Will said that Dylan was coming over and that Katie would be nice to his girlfriend. Katie forbade Will from getting into a rebound relationship. Dylan, who had arrived, overheard and got upset. She started to leave, but Will stopped her. Katie rolled her eyes.

Hope For Zende's Future

At Forrester Creations, Ridge held a meeting with RJ and Zende about the potential of the Electra by Electra Forrester line. Ridge said this could help counter some financial losses that they’ve taken since Logan Designs came along. Ridge asked Zende why he was so quiet. Zende said that he was still dealing with Hope's exit from Forrester Creations.

Ridge said that it was a rough time for the company. RJ said Zende could put his Hope For The Future energies into Electra by Electra Forrester. Zende said that was his (RJ’s) line. Ridge countered that it was our line.

Zende said it was the honor of his career to have been the lead designer for Hope For The Future. But the silver lining was getting to take notes from RJ. (Zende was being sarcastic when he said this.) Ridge told Zende that Brooke was hurt by Hope's leaving. RJ said this was a chance to create something new and that they needed Zende.

Zende said they needed his help with the line that Ridge gave his son. “Oh, boy,” Ridge sighed. Ridge clarified that he didn’t “give” RJ anything. His son pitched an idea, and it was approved. Zende said he spent years in second position to Thomas on Hope For The Future. Now, he’s supposed to be excited to be taking notes from Thomas’s little brother, and that his designs “lacked focus”? Zende picked up his design and showed it to Ridge, and asked him if he thought it lacked focus! RJ said that’s not what he had meant.

Ridge said that Electra wasn’t like Hope For The Future, and if they fight amongst themselves, then they won’t be able to beat the Spencers.
