On the Friday, September 4, 2026, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Hades got chillier as Electra had an epiphany about her relationship with Will, and Darcy informed Katie that she couldn't speak to her daughter, Dylan, disparagingly just because she had money!
Dylan Defends Darcy
Will tried to defend Dylan to his mother, but Katie wasn’t hearing it. She felt it was odd that Dylan didn’t tell Darcy about her problems in Los Angeles. Katie used Dylan's being a fan of the Spencers and Eye on Fashion against her. Dylan begged Katie not to see her that way.
Will quipped that his mother wasn’t trying to be a snob. Katie insisted that something was off and that Electra had ulterior motives. She suggested that Will tell Electra to go. Darcy walked in the front door just as Katie said something disparaging
Will welcomed Darcy to his home. She apologized for barging in, but she was glad that she showed up when she did. Darcy told Katie that she didn’t appreciate the way she spoke to her daughter, and Darcy pointed out that the Spencers may have private jets and skyscrapers, but she and Dylan didn’t need any of that.
Darcy said that she had friends and a boat she would take out on the lake where she lived. Did she like the glamour that the Spencers had, and was she impressed by that? Sure. But Darcy said that character was what counted. “My kid, she, has fought all her life through adversity with grit,” Darcy pointed out.
She called her kid a sweet soul, a free spirit, an artist, a ballerina, a bartender, the kindest and most respectful person she’d ever known. Katie wondered if Dylan’s “best friend,” Electra, would go to her for advice the way Darcy said her friends had done. Darcy said you know nothing about Dylan, but you judged her anyway.
Will Takes a Stand
Dylan tried to get her mom to stop, but Darcy said that she wasn’t done yet. Then, Darcy backed down at her daughter's request. Dylan told Katie that she could see that she was still suspicious. She added that she didn’t tell her mom what was going on to be secretive, but because she was ashamed. Dylan didn’t want to scare her mom. “Please tell me that you at least understand that,” Dylan asked Will’s mom.
Dylan told her mom that she was trying to be the daughter that she could be proud of. She wanted to show her mom the life that she had created out here. Darcy told Dylan that she was always proud of her and that she could tell her anything.
Dylan feared Darcy would have come home and taken her home. She was frustrated that she couldn’t make it work. She didn’t want Darcy to know that she had failed. Dylan said that it was harder moving to L.A. than she thought it was going to be. Katie rolled her eyes when Dylan said that she’d lost her best friend (Electra). Darcy called Dylan a hard worker. She put her arm around her and thanked Will for his help.
Dylan told Katie she understood why she was guarded, but she had wanted to land on her feet first. Dylan wanted to tell her mom that she’d fallen in love (with Will). Darcy asked Dylan if that was true, and Dylan responded with a yes. Katie shot a look at Will, but he flashed a smile over Dylan’s proclamation.
Katie quipped that Dylan has never hidden her feelings for Will, even though it cost her her best friend. Darcy explained that Dylan’s father walked out on the family when she was just a little kid (something Katie could relate to, no?).
Darcy added that Dylan had dreams of becoming a ballerina. She didn’t want her to because L.A. was dangerous. Darcy said that Dylan wanted to protect her from knowing she was living in her car. Will said that his mom didn’t mean anything negative about Dylan. Katie, however, remained looking skeptical.
Darcy told Dylan that they don’t deserve her. They’d go back to her apartment and figure it out. Darcy told Will that it was nice meeting him. She shared with Katie that they were both protective mama bears, and she respected that. Then, Darcy and Dylan left.
The mother and daughter made it out to the deck. Then, Will called out after Dylan and told her to wait. He embraced her and told her it was okay. “I’m not going anywhere,” he told her. Dylan, nearly in tears, looked up at Will.
Electra’s Revelation
In the Forrester Creations design room, Electra flashed back to Will telling her that he loved her and kissing her. RJ entered and noticed Electra was preoccupied. His suspicion was confirmed when Electra okayed a 4 a.m. (!) meeting. She called him a mind reader when RJ suggested that Electra was concerned about Will. Electra shared that she started to think that she really messed things up with Will, but she refused to wallow in it after the good news about Electra By Electra Forrester.
RJ said that Electra was allowed to have more than one feeling at the same time. RJ said he’d rather Electra open up about Will than keep her feelings bottled up inside. Electra shared that it wasn’t Dylan’s fault that she and Will weren’t together anymore – it was hers.
Electra recounted that she took it personally when Will didn’t tell her about the Logan jewelry line to compete with hers. “Company secrets are company secrets,” Electra said. She had a new understanding of company secrets as she was now keeping a secret that she's going to be working on Electra by Electra Forrester.
Electra said that she couldn’t sit there and pretend that she’s been perfect. She added that the reality was that she gave up her life with Will. RJ suggested that Electra stop beating herself up. She did what she felt was the right thing. RJ reminded Electra that her career was about to take off. Electra still can’t believe that was happening. RJ said that he could, and added that she deserved the moon and more.

RJ said that there will be plenty of time to talk about life as they continued to work together on Electra By Electra Forrester. He added that he came on too strong by trashing Will too strongly when he first met Electra. That wasn’t fair of him.
RJ apologized, but he didn’t like how Will was treating her. He said it was in the past. Will has moved on, and he believes that Electra will, too. RJ suggested they focus on their new project. Then, he left the design office, leaving Electra to think...about Will.
