The Bold and the Beautiful is going all in on the resurgence of Brooke Logan as a power player at Forrester Creations. Between Hope pushing Brooke to remember who she is and the insane position Ridge was put in ,it was an eventful week. Plus, the reveal of the mystery caller that has been tormenting Dylan was underwhelming to say the least, and it's time to break it all down, two scoops style.

Brooke's big request on The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope (Annika Noelle) isn't ready to throw away all of the hard work she's put into Hope For The Future, and while that's understandable, what she did this week with her mother is unforgivable. Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) ego already took up more space than the entire city of Los Angeles, but thanks to Hope blowing smoke at her, she's ready to ascend to an imaginary throne at the top of the Forrester food chain. Steffy who? Brooke is completely content, forcing her husband to toss his daughter to the wayside so she can have a seat at the head of the table alongside Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). There's no arguing that Brooke has contributed to the company, but this feels out of left field and like a desperate attempt to advance her daughter's agenda.

Ridge was stunned by Brooke's sudden urge to run Forrester Creations by his side. There's no concrete reason why Steffy should be ousted from her current position, so Brooke seems like she's grasping at straws to help Hope during her darkest hour. After one conversation with Hope, Brooke is fully prepared to force Ridge to sacrifice his daughter's professional career to advance herself. If this isn't a shining example of why Katie (Heather Tom) has been right about her sister at every turn, what is? Katie clocked Brooke from the beginning about her need to push everyone down to validate her own ego. Hopefully, Ridge isn't genuinely tempted to revoke Steffy's co-CEO status in favor of Brooke.

Remy's trivial return

Really? Remy? Remy (Christian Weissman) was the grand reveal that was teased for weeks as the mystery caller "tormenting" poor Dylan. Not only that, but Remy is suddenly Dylan's cousin and the entire reason she's in Los Angeles to begin with? Out of all of the directions the show could've taken this story, this feels like one of the weakest potential outcomes. Remy was off the canvas for a considerable amount of time, aside from a few random visits to Il Giardino to win back the affections of Deke (Harrison Cone). There isn't a reason to get invested in him at this point, and considering how unlikable Electra (Laneya Grace) is, does anyone even want to root against the villain in her story?

Dylan is moving away from the Will (Crew Morrow) and Electra relationship saga, and that's key to making her a lasting player on the show. However, throwing her into the love drama between Remy and Deke isn't the way to go either. The Bold and the Beautiful hasn't been consistent with its commitment to that story since its inception, and forcing Dylan into the plot is only going to make a character with so much potential get lost in the shuffle. Unless there's a continued dedication to Remy and Deke, mixing Dylan into it isn't going to do anything but create another case of "what could've been."
