Sometimes soap characters can do dumb, dumb, dumb things, and The Bold and the Beautiful's Dollar Bill Spencer takes that trophy this week. What possessed him to go ahead with Brooke's little scheme to go behind Katie's back, we may never know (is Brooke really that enticing?!?!?), but that was a bonehead move if there ever was one. And that's where we begin, with one dopey decision that may cost Bill forever...but animated Katie like never before.

Brooke's a Piece of Work

Brooke really, truly believes that she never, ever does anything wrong. She told her sister that she was no longer a part of the family. Well, she didn't really mean that. She was just joking. She has no idea why Katie is so hurt and angry. It's Katie who did something wrong by stealing Eric. That's what started this thing. While Eric's narcissistic tendencies are not quite as strong as Brooke's, he refuses to admit that he was the one who started this by begging Katie to hire him. He's had every opportunity to do the right thing and set the record straight, but his pride won't allow him.

But Brooke probably wouldn't even care if she learned that's what happened because she will still be angry at Katie for "stealing" Hope and her own last name. Because that is Brooke. So, why not go behind your sister's back and use her husband, whom you already slept with the last time Katie was married to him? That's a way to bring peace and harmony to the family, right? In Brooke's mind, of course it is. Because Brooke can do no wrong, Katie is the villain.

And Bill...

After all of Bill's coaxing and encouragement to beat the Forresters and make Logan the most successful fashion house in Los Angeles, why would he even entertain the idea of meeting with Brooke, much less go ahead with her idea to tame Katie?

And now he thinks his wife needs to be reined in? Really, Bill? You wanted this and now you want to stop this because the goddess known as Brooke wants you to? Is that really the best idea? Bill seemed to think it was and boy, did he get himself in trouble.

He also seemed to think nothing of leaving a stallion emoji for Brooke because why not? You're only married to her sister after cheating with Brooke and destroying your family. Why not flirt with her on text? That has to be one of the dumbest things Bill has ever done, up there with setting Luna free in his top 5 of dopey moves. But that's our Bill. Always thinking.

Smash That Window, Katie

Watching Katie let loose was glorious, impersonating her sister as if she's known her all her life, which she has. Every thought Katie has ever had about Brooke rolled right to the surface. So much she had suppressed came out in that office with Bill and even more is about to come out this week.

How masterful was it to have the incredible Heather Tom storm into Eric's office and not say a word before launching that champagne bottle through Eric's stained-glass window. Then, she threw Eric's galling words right back in Brooke's face when she called her sister evil. Whether any of these fictional people are truly evil may be a stretch, but they aren't very nice and often do terrible things.

We know Brooke is in for it on Monday and rightfully so. Brooke won't think so, but she'll remain in character as always. We are starting to truly see why Katie is so triggered by Brooke when she sees Dylan, and that's where she is just wrong.

About Dylan

Good on Dylan for telling Katie that she should get to know her as an individual rather than lumping her in with Brooke just because Electra was her so-called "friend" for a few months when she needed someone to join her for a movie. Katie has no idea how Electra treated Will — or rather how she used and abused him while Dylan never did any such thing.

And good on Dylan for telling Katie to take this job and shove it. Whether she ends up at Logan eventually remains to be seen, but for now, she's standing strong. Dylan did not stand strong when Will asked her to move in and agreed by the end of the episode. We're not sure whether that was a good idea or not because when Electra hears about this (and Katie), the whining is going to be incessant. Get ready.

Oh, Finn

Finn gave in. What a surprise. He can never stand strong against Steffy for wrong. Against his better instincts, he is willing to support Steffy through what is clearly a bad idea, even if the story she's told Finn and Daphne is true. He knows something is off here, but Steffy must put something special in his food to keep him so mesmerized that he's going along with this insanity and not asking more questions.

We don't think Li is going to be so quick to give up getting to the bottom of this. Li is no dummy and we don't see her letting this one sit. She is going to keep probing and try to get to the bottom of things or she wouldn't be Li. At least Li and Finn are keeping in character, even if we want to see Finn break character just a little more often when it comes to his dynamics with Steffy.

Alas, the pregnancy storyline looks like it will become the B-story for a bit as Steffy settles into pregnant life with a Big Lie hanging over everything. And away we go...

Do you see Brooke as the villain or Katie as the villain? Do you think Dylan is just like Brooke? Sound off in the comments.
