If you thought the late Stephanie was a mother-in-law from hell, you might want to think again. Sheila Carter's hold on her biological son Finn may drive a wedge in between Finn and Steffy on The Bold and the Beautiful. Spoilers for the episode airing on Friday, July 17, 2026, show Steffy and Finn facing a defining crossroads. Meanwhile, Eric draws a hard line, demanding that Will stay away from his family, especially Electra. Also, the women at Bikini try to help Will move on.
No More Spencers
The last thing Eric (John McCook) wanted to do when he came home on Thursday's episode was to find Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) -- or any Spencer, for that matter -- in his home. Eric is extremely protective of Electra as her parents aren't on the scene. He may not have all the details, but that's not the issue.
Will is bad for Electra, in Eric's eyes, and he wants him out of his home and out of his grandniece's life! Will, however, is going to fight for the woman he loves. He knows he should have been up front with Electra about Hope (Annika Noelle) going to work for Logan Designs, but he wasn't.
Electra has had trust issues for quite some time now. She's not going to feel secure unless Will puts her and her feelings above his job at Logan Designs and the Spencer/Forrester feud. Will Eric get what he wants? Is Will Spencer going to stay away from his family?
The Mother-in-Law from Hell
Call Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) crazy, but she wants nothing to do with her mother-in-law, Sheila, who nearly killed her by shooting her with a gun. That shooting happened after Finn jumped in front of a bullet meant for Steffy, which almost took his life. In case you might have forgotten, Sheila fired that gun, too!
Miraculously, Finn and Steffy survived. Curiously, Finn is open to giving his mother yet another chance at being involved in his life. Of course, Sheila is his birth mother, so he's vulnerable to that. Steffy would prefer, however, that both she and her family not become targets the next time that Sheila feels threatened. Or sad. Or misunderstood. Or it's a Wednesday.
On Friday's show, watch for Steffy and Finn to find themselves at a defining crossroads. The two are never going to fight over a rival fashion house, as Finn is in medicine -- not fashion. But if Steffy and Finn can't see eye to eye on Sheila, then their marriage may not survive!
Single and Ready to Mingle
The ladies at Bikini would trade places with Electra in a heartbeat. They may feel that if she doesn't want Will, then they will be more than happy to step into her place. Will may not be ready to move on, but the women at Bikini, on Friday's episode, are going to encourage him to do just that!

If there's anyone Will might entertain, it's Dylan (Sydney Bullock). The young woman likes Will a lot. While his heart is tied to Electra, the man is not made of stone. If Electra snoozes, she just might lose!
