B&B's What to Watch Moment August 6: Bill Encourages Will to Look Elsewhere for Love

If there's anyone who knows about playing the field, it's Bill Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful. Spoilers for the episode airing Thursday, August 6, 2026, have Bill encouraging Will to look elsewhere for love, and Katie being suspicious about Dylan's past.

Bill (Don Diamont) has romanced or been involved with, in addition to his wife, Katie (Heather Tom), Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Li (Naomi Matsuda) (though that never got off the ground, did it?), and Quinn (Rena Sofer). So it's understandable that he's going to advise his son, Will (Crew Morrow), to play the field.

On Thursday's episode, watch for Bill to encourage Will to look elsewhere for love. Bill may have a point. Los Angeles is a big city, filled with intelligent, funny, and attractive women. Will's options should not be limited to Electra (Laneya Grace) and Dylan (Sydney Bullock).

Perhaps Will should play the field and hang out at Bikini? He's young and doesn't have to figure out who he wants to spend the rest of his life with right now. Will might not take his dad's advice, however. Bill knows that he loves Katie and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Why shouldn't Will be able to make that same choice?

Suspicious Minds

Katie's an expert at reading people, and she appears to have sized up Dylan after finding her in her son's beach house. Dylan tried to charm her potential future mother-in-law, but Katie wasn't falling for it. She saw through Dylan's act!

In fairness to Dylan, though, she probably reminds Katie of her sister, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). And while Katie will always love Brooke, she can't ever forget that Brooke slept with Bill, the love of Katie's life.

On Thursday's episode, watch for Katie to be suspicious about Dylan's past. She may be wondering why, if her name is "Melissa," why then does she go by her last name, "Dylan"?

We don't know much about Dylan's family other than that her cousin is Remy (Christian Weissman). Is Katie going to want to learn about who Dylan is and where she comes from to protect her son?
