The Bold and the Beautiful is officially celebrating 40 years on March 23, 2027, but the new fall season for CBS has kicked off, so the festivities have already begun! Two actors who appeared in the first episode, original cast members John McCook (Eric) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), remain with the program to this day!The show's opening credits featured cast members who play the Forresters, Logans, and Spencer clans. Today, those same three families remain on the show. The credits capture the setting of the show, sunny Southern California. Along with the show's incredibly looking cast members, there are models and fashions shown throughout the credits. Images of skyscrapers, private jets, fancy cars, private gates, and the trademark roll of fashion can all be found in this version of the opening credits, giving viewers a sense of old and new, bold and beautiful. However, veteran fans of the show recall that the show's end credits once had their own unique song, "High Upon This Love," which was sung by Dionne Warwick. The legendary singer also appeared on the show as herself around this time in scenes with Tracey Bregman's Lauren. Given Lauren's status as the owner of a top fashion store, Fenmore's, it was only natural that she'd run in the circles of some famous folks like Dionne Warwick! Part of the lyrics to "High Upon This Love" read: "Bold and beautiful are we, in love eternally, forever you and me.""High Upon This Love" was played as B&B's closing credits from November 1998 to July 1999. There have been other versions of B&B's opening theme that have featured the show's characters attending a fashion show. The opening title sequence to B&B has been a winner -- literally! -- since the beginning.
