It may be a very good thing that Steffy has yet to fill her mother, Taylor, in on her night of passion with Carter on The Bold and the Beautiful. Spoilers for the episode airing on Friday, September 18, 2026, show that Finn is going to turn to Taylor for support, and she can't spill what she doesn't know! Also, speaking of Steffy, watch for her to be caught off guard!
Psychiatric Help

We've seen Finn (Tanner Novlan) bounce updates about his life with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) against his mother, Dr. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda). Li thinks that Finn and Steffy will look back in 10 years and regard what happened in Monaco as just a little misunderstanding, one bad day.
But Li is Finn's mom. Of course, she's going to support her son and be positive about his future. On Friday's episode, watch for Finn to turn to his mother-in-law, Taylor (Rebecca Budig), for support.
Taylor's not just Finn's mother-in-law, but she's also a psychiatrist. She's going to have insights into her daughter not just as her mom, but as a therapist, too. Finn can draw on Taylor's expertise. And, since Taylor doesn't know anything specifically about her daughter and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), she can't really betray any secrets or give Finn information that will tear his marriage to Steffy apart.
However, Taylor does know that something is bothering Steffy. She'll likely attribute it to the bad scene that went down in Monaco with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Taylor's a savvy shrink and an intuitive mother. She may speculate with Finn that something's going on with Steffy that has nothing (directly) to do with Sheila.
Steffy Surprise

Steffy's about to crack. She knows that she can't keep her pregnancy a secret forever. And she knows when the baby is born, it'll be evident that Finn is not the dad. Carter has come up with a solution that will keep both his and Steffy's marriages intact.
Steffy is still absorbing Carter's idea for Steffy to act as surrogate mom for him and Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire). Nobody would have to know how the baby was conceived. But can Steffy truly give up her child? Carter pointed out that she'd still be a part of her child's life since they're all so close. But that might not be good enough for Steffy.
On Friday's episode, watch for Steffy to be caught off guard. Is Daphne Rose going to catch her by surprise? Will Steffy learn something about her pregnancy from a physician? Or maybe a lawyer?
